i wasn't home when the mail came yesterday. they left me a note saying "come get your package". the package is my gear from russia. if customs had found my gear they would just send me a letter right? I don't want to go to the post office and find the feds. what do you guys think? this is my first package so i'm a little nervous. thanks. ------------------     | ||

"come get your package"??????damn its not the mailman or lady for sure but it has to be the customs.how much you order?and where do you know to get the package?could be some type of a setup but i wouldnt worry about it that much.but thats just me.and dont go to pick up your package AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE!!! If it's just a regular slip from the post office I'd go get it. Unless it's a huge order I doubt they would waste the resources to set up some kind of sting. | ||

As long as they do not force you to sign anything you should be fine (if it is a large order). If it a personal order then signing is not out of the ordinary. Just guage the situation carefully. | ||

Here is what I would do. First, did you use a fake name? I would go to the post office and play dumb. Show them the slip and if they want you to sign say "that is not me, must be a mistake", then leave. If no sig or ID is required nab it and jet. Park down the street and walk to your car. That way if worse comes to worse they cannot nab your vehicle. I don't think that would happen if it were not quantity though. Not an expert but that is what I would do. Or say fuck it and try again. ------------------ | ||

did you think to ask/tell your source not to send it with a sig required. if the package was sent with a sig required, you may have been scammed. maybe your source sent it with a\ sig required knowing you wouldn't pick it up. could have just sent an empty box. | ||

As long as they are sending you to the post office to get and are not giving you a specific time I wouldn't worry about it bro. The feds or no one else is going to sit around the post office and wait to see if someone is going to pick up a package or not. If they we're going to set you up they would try and deliver it you or set up an exact time for you pick it up. What ever you do don't call ahead of time just go unexpectedly don't sign anything and act like you don't know what the hell it is. | ||

Same thing happened to me. The slip I got said they would try again but the asshole just let a slip telling me to go get it - same as yours. Just go get it if it's a yellow slip read it carefully you'll see what I mean. Not to worry bro. | ||

It is standard operating procedure for the mailman to leave a slip if the package is to big for your mailbox. They are overworked as it is and cannot go door to door with every oversized package, you are familiar with the term "going postal".Mom is a postal worker go pick up your package and enjoy! | ||

they will usually redeliver..do not sign..happens when I get packages from eygpt..but a family member calls the PO and asks to have it redelivered..and the always do.. |
