I help some girls train from time to time and I always ask them the following two questions.

How healthy do you eat?
<answer: "very">

The I follow up with:
How did you eat yesterday?
<Answer: "Well I really didn't eat very well yesterday, it was an accidental cheat day">

What this boils down to though is, ask yourself this question. If your yesterday isn't above the bar you set for your goals...chances are neither is your last week/month/year.

It's a new year, time for dynamic changes. It's a great time to change your future yesterdays!

Here's my great paradigm: I've been bodybuilding for 10 years, have spent hours and hours researching fitness topics, am
certified by ISSA, have a dual degree in
biochemistry/cellular biology...yet my
own damn parents insist on trying all the
latest bullshit, ripoff, fad diets and pills.
I went to visit them for Christmas, and they
were eating fried chicken and taking
Xenical afterwards! I just about fell over!
I've written out countless diets and programs for them, but they never listen.

Went to two competitions in the last three years. Trained two girls who went to the top three in a local circuit.

But one of the bro's who works out with me from time to time is a super-heavy weight minus the muscle.

Refuses to listen to me about cardio and diet. Simply tells me he'll lose more weight by doing heavy weights than he would with cardio or proper dieting...go figure.
