i saw the 1998 olympia in new york city and after looking at bigjay's posting of the 2000 olympia pictures it seems that ronnie is so much more muscular than others. i'm not here to say ronnie is god. but between the 97 and 98 season he put on tremendous mass. i'm sure we can all say HGH but all the other pros have virtually the same resources that ronnie does. i mean he placed in the lower half of the top ten in the 97 olympia and then wins it the following year. i don't think there's a secret, but how come everyone else hasn't caught up?

Ronnie went the way of Dorian. One that Rhul and other freaks have tried (and failed). Going from his pre-97 pics you can see he was intent on a clean balance of size and aesthetics. He made the leap, I think partly because he was always called out with Flex and other guys who had the same physique. He did it well, he moved slowly and maintained his aesthetic look as best as possible. He's a pretty much freak status now. His back is nasty-huge. It looks good on him, his chest needs to come up a bit though to match that gruesome back. Ronnie looked good, regardless of what the schlumps at Flex and Musclemag say.
