Well, just like my doc, the surgeon didn't think it was necessary. They both seem to think that it will go away by itself. I never told either of them about steroids, and they never asked. They think it's just because I'm young (22). The surgeon actually suggested that I take 600mg ibuprofen a day for 10 days. He said that this would help with the hormonal balance, and possibly eliminate the mass. Has anyone else ever heard of this. It's new to me, but I'm willing to try anything. By the way, for those of you who have emailed me, I haven't been able to check my hushmail for a couple of weeks so I appologize for not getting back with you yet. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Your first mistake was not telling them about your steroid usage. You MUST be totally honest with your doctors if you want the best health care. I suggest you call him back and explain the entire situation. Good luck ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Well you should have told you surgeon about your steroid useage, the ibuprofen doesn't make sense to me though, it's an anti-inflamatory perhaps he thinks it's some sort of swelling. It can't be that bad, if they don't think it's a problem. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Please do yourself a favor and get a second opinion. I don't know if your doctors are right and mine were wrong. But I was told by them and a few other lay-persons that gyno does not go away. Unless you are comfortable with it and want to give it a try. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The reason I didn't tell him about any AS usage was because in all the old posts I read about this, everyone said not to. I never complained to the doc about the looks, just the pain. I can't afford to pay for it myself, so I needed to try to get insurance to cover it, and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't if they new about any AS usage. True? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

ibuprofen? Dude, get some hook up for nolvadex. Did you see an endocrinologist? They would probably prescribe some kind of anti-estrogen. When I went they totally accused me of AS usage, and didn't believe me when I said that I didn't use. Fuck em... Nolvadex works... Good luck ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'd try to find a doctor that is "sympathetic" to AS usage. If you have a good supplier, ask him if he knows of a doc like that. In college towns, the team doctor usually is the one to go see....again, good luck ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I have no problem getting nolvadex. I've tried it and it didn't help. I'm paranoid about telling them about AS usage because I don't want my mom to find out. I know it is supposed to be confidential, but I just want to be careful. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
