I'm helping a friend design a Ketogenic Diet but my list of high fat, no carb foods was a very short one.

Anyone have any ideas?

I know they have cheese with zer0 carbs.
Flax Seed Oil.

Your supposed to eat 0 carbs, but alot of the foods do have carbs. I've read that you should stay below 20 grams of carbs, that's for the day. If you eat 20 grams of carbs at a sitting that will take you out of ketosis.

It's a rought diet. You're extremely limited in your food choices.

Bacon is great for a keto diet as is any kind of pork. Pork fat is much more edible than beef fat and chikens do not have hardly any fat. Chesse rules for keto diets, any cheese that is not processed has zero carbs. Eggs are my favorite. Milk has lactose so stay away from regular milk while trying to get into Ketosis - drink half and half and you can use heavy whipping cream, it taste great, its high in fat and has zero carbs.

bacon, ham, sausage, eggs, pork rinds, cheese, hot dogs, and crystal light. that diet is no fun when you get the munchies. There isn't much snack food with 0 carbs. Good luck.

OK, thanks guys!

Also, what kind of protein powder is it that has ZERO carbs?

Any kind of Isolate, whether it be Soy or Whey?

Or it varies by manufacturer?

I'll just tell him to get a case of Isopure.

Let it be known that Heavy Whipping Cream and Half and Half are very low in carbs but thats because one serving is a tablespoon!

You make a shake with that stuff and you're way above 15carbs

Nuts and peanut butter are OUT -- they are not light in carbohydrates.
