I Am curious if anyone on the board is a softball player and how competitive they are. I only play rec. and church league when I can. Last year I hit 61 dingers and played B league. I have played many sports in my life but none have captivated me as much as this one. It might be my age though. Anyone else.

Ease up Diver.....lol. Seriously though....I'm an older fellow and I used to play on three different teams three nights a week. I loved it, but decided to give it up to pursue bodybuilding more. Plus, I would always play "all out", and the potential for injury is actually pretty high. But it is a blast for sure. delts ------------------

played college baseball and rec softball and juiced during both. felt like my bat speed always increased during cycle. but my arm would get so pumped while throwing i couldn't make good throws. as a result my right side is slightly bigger than my left.

I' played 16 inch for awhile.Totally great sport, until I suffered 2 hamstring pulls running out a grounder. The pull in my left hammy was so bad,it was black and blue from my ankle to my lower glute. I had to be carried off the field.Iced it for 2 days, then went to the Doc.I thought it might have been a tendon snap.Luckily though, just a major pull.I recovered very quickly,I was squatting heavily again, about a month after. Needless to say,my softball career is over.I still have a little knot,at ground zero.Funny thing is,I never get hurt while training,it's always doing something else. Also, the only major muscle pulls I have suffered, have been while I was using creatine.2 months ago,I was spotting for my friend at a Bench Press meet. He was attempting 525.As I lifted the bar off for him,RRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPP.I pulled my left bicep so bad,I was afraid to look at it,for fear it would have been balled up by my shoulder. It's finally back to normal, and my training is back on track, but I was using creatine at the time, and I haven't used it since my hamstring pull, back in '98.Makes me wonder ------------------

Yeah, I love softball. I played baseball in college and I find softball almost as much fun. I usually play in a church league, an industrial league, and on a tournament team on the weekends. It can get pretty hectic sometimes, but I love it. I have only had one injury and that was a hamstring pull. I was trying to turn a single into a double. It hurt like a mofo. Funny thing is, I never had any hammy pulls throughout high school or college!!! Stones
