I agree. Where is the sport going? Steve Reeves looks fantastic there. It is a quality look. I like the competitors of today but some are pushing the envelope. They are borderline quality physique. Thier size is jepordizing the overall apparance. Ronnie is almost too big(he was this year). Guys like Shawn Ray and Lee Preist have a great look. Guys like Marcus Ruhl are too monsterous and over powering to really notice the fine points in thier developemnet. ------------------ | ||

i agree with jay these guys look like crap everyone looks the same, all you need to do is swap heads on these guys and they'll look the same.i like big and veiny but no one has an idenity anymore.the 70s and 80s are where the real bodybuilders are ,everyone had an idenity.arnold , haney, zane, labrada,columbu these guys were freaks and the women weren't grossed out when they saw these guys.just my .02 | ||

I agree big jay...anything after anrnold's time is way too much. I thought bodybuilding was meant to increase size and improve looks?? After taking a look at today's pro's it makes me wonder. But that's what the judges like sooooo...... | ||

This is just my opinion. I love the old Reeves, Grimek, Arnold, Ray and Priest look. To me, it's about bodybuilding, not just getting huge at the cost of asthetics. If I could get to be 350 lbs and look pleasing and everything be in proportion so be it. What I don't want is the "Growth Gut" or the skin that looks like it has just gotten plucked of it's feathers. My opinion isn't worth shit. A lot of you want to be huge at any cost and that's cool too. For myself, I'll be happy when I reach 210 at 5ft4. | ||

To be honest I hate both those looks , I like the Flex wheeler look, Big but still with nice shape and a thin waiste. Man see how thick the midsection on the 2000's guy is. Gotta love the inject n swell HAHAHAHAHA. Luca | ||

I like the way reeves looks in the 40's. In my opinion Arnold, and lou have the best physiques. Most of the pros after are just too big and look like freaks. They have the roid gut which cant be healthy at all. I though the sport was about attaining a bigger better looking body, not lets see who can look the freakiest. were there any anabolics back in reeves time or is he actually all natural???? | ||
