Well lets seee here...you can two different things for this diet. One way is by using AS while dieting to perserve (Maybe gain a little) muscle. This is an easier way psychologically because carbs dont have to be restricted as much (carbs=happier brain)and cardio will get you cut up quick without muscle loss.

Now if you are gonna go clean during this cutting cycle I would highly recommend a cyclical ketogenic diet. Psychologically it sucks since there are no carbs during the week (it gets better--you get use to it as the weeks pass by)but without using drugs or anything, you perserve all your muscle and even lose fat (in my experience) without much cardio. It all depends on what you can handle. Plus, another bonus to a CKD is that every weekend you get to "reward" yourself with a little junkfood (glycogen supercompensation or "carb up")even while dieting.

I hope this helps and if you want to know more about how to do a CKD (cyclical ketogenic diet) email me because I wrote an article on it for an online bodybuilding site and I'll give you the link
