There's a difference between simple and easy.

His approach is simple but it's not necesarilly easy.

The one thing that stands out to me as taking a lot of skill and practice is the speed of his syncopated burst singles (blast beating is what they call it). Honestly, I can't do it that fast. I can with my right hand, but not my left, therefore the way he plays that, I can't do it.

His double bass drumming is good and consistent, but that's not a rare feat by any mean in any metal music, it's a necessity.

But there's nothing that he is playing that is complex or rudimentally challenging, which = simple.

The guy is definitely a good player. I can't say otherwise if I'm being perfectly honest.

She does a very good job of playing it.

Looking forward to it bro...I would love to get another drum set and teach my little girl...music is in our family blood...I strum and played drums years ago...just like muscle memory though, pick it right back up!

Been an accomplished drummer myself for about 13 years now and I'm still in the distant shadows of some of the names mentioned in this thread. Not a metal fan but have to admit, talent is talent. Metal drumming is a letter away from being mental

Also, for a disclaimer I must warn that anyone who mentions the name travis barker will have their eyes ripped out and have them spoon fed back to you...

She's good. Nothing too outstanding, but i will have to see her original stuff also. It's a little tough to judge someone's skill on a cover simply because if practiced enough, anyone can do a decent job of it. I can tell she's pretty good though, good sense of time and can do impressive fill while double kicking.

I can probably match or exceed what I've seen of her, but holy fkn shit that was a sick video of Flo

The band I'm in now is more lyrically driven and I do alot of guitar, keyboard, and vocal work, but am still a drummer first. I rarely get to cut loose and rip into a solo like i want to these days....I did at the end of our show Sat night when we were kind of reintroducing the band and saying goodnight, and the whole place was like where the FUCK did that come from...then one drunk guy held up his drink and yelled fuck yeah and saved me from being embarassed
