Yoga hot or regular?

What is better for you ? I feel pretty uncomfortable in the hot yoga class. But i hear it has alot of benefits even though I am sweating a river. Or is regular room temperature just as good?

there are different types of yoga

a true bikram hot yoga class you won't survive as a newb. those are the classes I do and most people are down before it is over. very few of us make it through

the other end of the spectrum is old people yoga. for me it is completely useless. they have free classes at my gym and it is a joke.

so if you are new find something in between and work your way up

Both forms of yoga are great. You get extra detox benefits from doing hot yoga since you sweat so much but that doesn't mean regular yoga doesn't have it's place.

I would mix it up and do both. I find that I can actually get deeper into the yoga poses with regular yoga vs hot yoga because I'm not so pre-occupied with how hot and sweaty I am. I am able to focus more on the yoga practice itself
