that would mean they would have to change up the divisions ? Winnipeg in the southeast division? they would have to travel far as heck for their division games. it would be terrible

They'll definitely have to change up the divisions, Winnipeg would be in the Western conference (central), and a team like Detroit (in central now) could move to an Eastern conference division-(northeast or atlantic, not really sure which is better for detroit- it's close to pittsburgh though isn't it?)
There's no way Winnipeg would play in the Eastern conference south east division...that makes no sense.

Heard this last night and almost made a thread about it. But since I can't make threads in this forum, I passed.


I like this a lot..bring back the Jets with the same uniforms and everything. Really a shame that Canada lost them to begin with..especially when we have these Southern US teams who get no support.

Next up, let's bring back the Quebec Nordiques and Hartford Whalers!

Good for Winnipeg! Small market but they love their Jets or Moose or whatever they end up calling them.

There's no point trying to force hockey on the south. Phoenix gets another year after they agreed to fork over 25 million to cover losses but they should be the Nordiques in 2012/13. I hated the Nordiques even more than I ever hated the Bruins. Sounds good to me! Habs better get bigger fast.

only prob is that phoenix owns the jets name and symbol. also what about ahl. manitoba moose is vancouvers ahl team, calgarys team is in abbotsford which is right next to vancouver. there might have to be a shift up of those teams too, but that would be good. everyone wonders why noone in van supports the abbotsford team, but they all hate the flames so they wont watch their farm team

Nordiques would get a lot of support. I used to work with a girl from Quebec City who was a Nordiques fan who wouldn't cheer for the Canadiens- there's definitely room for two Quebec teams- the fan base is there.
