X-Men 2 was fucking awesome

Way better than the first one, I was impressed. I thought it was gonna be shitty since they had so many characters in there, but they pulled it together very nicely. :)

BTW,just saw it had the 4th biggest single day opening, behind Spiderman and the 2 Harry Potter flicks.Took in close to 34 mil on Friday, and may crack 90 mil for the weekend.

:( -- I haven't seen it... maybe I will go Monday during the day... or something. :(

I feel less massiver than Huck now. :(

Yea I saw the hulk trailor yesterday, looks fucking awesome too!

LXG or whatever looks like garbage.

MMMM Lady Deathstrike

I saw it last night. The first movie was just the warmup for this one. If the third movie is about what I think it is, this second is a warmup too. I don't want to say much more so as not to spoil it for those who will see the movie.

Lots of action and hotties- just like I like. :D

This is definately going to be a good summer for movies. I liked X-2, but I'm really waiting for the second Matrix to be released.

This movie fucking rocked, way bettr the the first...I dunno how they are gona go aout pullin goff the Phoenix saga for X3 but hopefully they do justice

THe Matrix to me, is a movie that could e great if they hadn't cast Keanu and if Trinity wasn't rat nasty

Not.

Daredevil was ok maybe even good, x-men2 was fucking awesome.

Saw X2 tonight and it was pretty good. I think Nightcrawler made the movie...he was awesome.

x2 was fucking awesome. the hulk and matrix reloaded are going to be kick ass too.

my question is, in the scene where wolverine, pyro, iceman and rogue are escaping the mansion, they come across all these sweet cars. personally, i wouldn't have chosen the mazda rx-8 but whatever.:)

He chose the car cause it was cyclops' car lol and knew it would pretty much get ruined.

See, I got more into the plot of Daredevil than I did X2. I really thought X2 seemed to drag in some places. Nightcrawler was great, the other characters were just okay, I thought.

Oh, and they completely threw away the appearance by Senator Kelly. Have NO idea why they put him in there if they weren't going to have him play a part.

i saw x-men last night too. it is the best sequel i'v ever seen, probably one of the most entertaining movies i'v seen too, I don't see matrix 2 or any other movie being better than this.

what's up with the blue naked chick? lol WHOOODA!! she is hot

i got one question...

why couldnt iceman freeze the water from the dam at the end?

That is Rebecca Romjin, fucking BEAUTIFUL model/actress.I just posted a thread about her getting naked and X-Rated in another folm out on video,"Femme Fatale".It only got about 3 replies,so I guess everyone is on deca right now, lol. She is one of the hottest chicks in Hollywood right now IMO.

"Oh, and they completely threw away the appearance by Senator Kelly. Have NO idea why they put him in there if they weren't going to have him play a part."

He did. Mystique impersonated him just long enough to get Deathstrike's handprint (the handshake in the White House hallway) and to get near Stryker's office to use it to get in.

"why couldnt iceman freeze the water from the dam at the end?"

He's still a inconfident teen who has not learned complete control of his abilities.

Yes! I like the part in the bar where she appeared as the hooker, out of the blue makeup for a while. At least the guard wasn't conscious to take it for the team!

Gotcha...I thought about that a little while after I posted what I did, but I overlooked that detail at the time.

Does anyone besides me remember seeing a trailer where Iceman was actually covered in ice, and made an ice bridge?

I'd swear I saw that somewhere along the way.

I've been trying to keep up with all the trailer's, and clips.. Never saw that...

why didn't that warper dude warp out and grab that chick before the water got her? the x-men asked him to and he said something back that i didn't catch, what did he say? he was to pussy or something?

She wasn't ready to be grabbed yet.. and then when the time came, it was too late, because she just stopped parting the water, and was engulfed in water.

I JUST came home from watching it tonight. I agree with everyone else on it was GREAT and nightcrawler owned the house.

We saw the movie tonight and while it has a lot of eye candy the plot was very thin, good for the teenie audience. The movie lacked realism, kina like the old A-team episodes.

This is one of those "gotta see it in the theater" kinda movies. We're going back to see it again before it's gone. Excellent!

Lacked realism? :lmao: its about the X-men.. about mutants. Of course it lacks realism. I hate movies that lack realism where there is supposed to be realism.. (IE. MI:2, i hated that fucking movie). But x-men2 is a great film imo.

OK, you missed the point entirely. How can wolvorine stab someone under the bullet proof vest and there be absolutely NO blood, not a drop. Or how can Pyro fuck up all those cops and eveyone of them be just fine, like i said it played like the old A-team series.

IMO they should have made the movie under an R rating and geared it for a more mature audience, like the Matrix series. Both are fantasy movies but the plot depth and presentation are worlds apart.

I think they realize they can make more money if it's geered for younger age groups as well.

I do agree with you there, and was surprised to see blood during the magnito escape scene.. I would have loved to see some blood on wolverines blades, as well as more blood overall. :D

I just saw it tonight, I liked it.

I wanna pound Mystique hard...Wolvie's just not the stud I thought he was after seeing him toss her off him. She obviously wanted it.

And hey, you fuckers should be happy they made the film as adult as they have, never mind bitching about there not beeing anough blood. It's not like any amount of red liquid flying around will make a scene more/less powerful. Lots of blood is unecessary in getting most points across.

I can see dumbig down the violence so they can get a more family oriented rating, cause that = money, but I mean any family these days that even lets their kids read comics, and who have children who know what the X men are in the first place because of the comics, has most likely had their children watch some pretty bad movies in recent times..Parents just don't seem to give a shit anymore.

PS...how do you parachute safely in a tornado.

Yeah, I just watched it at home because I heard a bunch of people saying it sucked but it was fucking good as hell. What the fuck happens to Jean when she becomes Pheonix. I forgot what happens to her. Anyone have any good info on this shit? What is the Pheonix, ect... The only stuff I remember is what happened in the animated series. Poor Cyclops lol

what are you guys talking about? the wolverine was covered in blood after he killed all those swat guys. and for his blades, i saw blood on them, but when he pulls those bad boys back into his hands the blood wipes off, so when the blades come back out there shouldnt be blood on them. i'm glad they didn't make it all gory and stuff, i for one em sick of seeing that shit everywere. i think it's enough they have mutant demons as heros for kids lol. they did kind of have the terminator 2 thing going about not killing the cops. that's one thing i think they needed to show more of, cops getting killed, theres not enough of that in movies :D

Jean Grey will become the Phoenix. Very obvious.

Nightcrawler was very well-emphasized in this movie. The secret service fight scene, the explanation of his body art, his heroism when saving Rogue, and his exercise of faith really made him shine. Also, the comedic slant they gave his repetitive introductions was superb.

so is omega red or apocalypse in any of the 3? those were some badasses that i remember back from the cartoon days.

Apocalypse (En Sabah Nur) would be the shit. End of story. THE SHIT!

It was entertaining but I found it to be a little slow at times and really a movie that I could have waited for video and not felt like I missed out on anything.

Okay, I have a question...I looked at imdb for the cast list because I couldn't place Stryker's head guard, and noticed a listing for both Jubilee and Gambit...anyone know if there were scenes filmed with these two that were just cut?

http://us.imdb.com/Credits?0290334

it also says Beast...Beast was not in the damn movie, wha the hell.

The only time I saw anything even related to Gambit was his name in the computer that Deathstrike was working on.

Burning Inside- There was a part in the movie where a TV in the background had on the news, and Dr.Henry Mcoy(Hank/Beast) was being interviewed on mutants.

Project-did you figure anything out on Strykers guard? For some reason it seemed like he would be important later...

Very good movie. Lots of action althought it started a little slow. But it went into warp drive fairly quickly. I was impressed with the amount of violence for a PG-13 movie.

Yeah, I got the impression they were going to do more with him.

I just recognized him, and couldn't figure out from where.

It was Peter Wingfield, from the Highlander TV show, and the last movie. Was driving me nuts.

Other than the computer screen...WHERE WAS GAMBIT??!

He, aswell as Beast are supposed to have much bigger roles in X3.

It's about time...seeing his name on that computer screen just served to piss me off. I can understand they have to keep the movie somewhat chronologically correct. Gambit is just too cool.

I hope in the third one that Nightcrawler plays as big a role as he did in X2....awesome job.

Ha ha! Nate will be happy to hear that Harry Potter faired better! We saw X2 this past weekend and it was soooooo good! The previews for Matrix Reloaded looked phenomenal as well...just a little over a week to go! Too bad the theater had previews BEFORE the previews! It took an easy 30 minutes to get the feature film going!

Oh hell yes.. I hope he has a even bigger role! he made tears come out my eyes while watching it the first time.. it was so sweet I couldnt hold back. ;) I love x-men.. but was fairly disapointed by the first movie.. this one had many moments that made my eyes water out of giddiness. Including Wolverine letting loose.. oh man.. that was great. and Magnito's escape.. that was the 2nd best scene in the movie, right after the first scene with Nightcrawler.

Good Fight Scene: Wolverine taking out the troops attacking the school.

Bad Fight Scene: Wolverine and DeathStrike...*yawn*

Agreed. Not that bad, but definately not quite what I expected.

What is with Hollywoods recent fixation with having "females" that beat up "males". I seen Arnold get beat up by a skinny chick in one of his latest movies!

Great movie though.....XMen II

Realism in an Xmen movie is like realism in a Superman movie. As for the lack of blood, I'm sure that was to help attain the PG-13 rating. Blood is awfully easy.....all of the worst movies are loaded with it.

Loved the movie, but being a hadcore "ex" comic junkie, I was upset about a few manipulations of the story.

1. the chronology of the characters. Ice Man was an original member.

2. Colossus should have been a larger character in 2. He was a favorite of mine.

3. Siren's, like her brother Banshee's, scream is not merely a piercing yell, but a concussive force. The agent would not have been able to shoot her.

4. Ice man better be able to coat his body in ice in #3. I thought this was a cool concept in the comics.

A question: does anyone know if Stryker's son was the mutant, Morpheus, from the original series?

The Sentinals or the Brood would be a cool nemesis in number 3.

I saw it the other night.. i thought it was really good... i think the one scene that gave me that chill down my spine sensation is when Pyro says to the cop "you know how they say mutants are dangerous(or however he put it)... well im the most dangerous of them all" and he fuckin lit those mother fuckers up like a wild fire... total rush right there. Its going to be hard to beat Magnito in X3 with Pryo on his side... I predict Pyro and Iceman are going to have a fight scene.

oh and Rogue is fucking HOT!

Oh just FYI I dont read the comics so i have no idea how the story line goes. Even though I have tons of xmen and all the xforce comic books(what happned to that comic) ever made, I dont read them lol.

Would love to see Cable from xforce in an xmen movie that dude is sick!!

X1 was the better movie. More emotion, more heart. Even with having to wade through the origins of the characters, they still showed great bonding between Wolverine and Rogue (but didn't expand on it)... the sparring between W and Cyclops.. and there was a little more focus on the Professor.
This time the only good characters were Pyro, Mystique and maybe Nightcrawler because he had so much screen time. Even Magneto was better in the first when he hit the train station. Contrast Pyro's screen time with Iceman's. He's not on long, never mentions his family, but we can see he's uncomfortable with the Academy and envies Bobby his family. In contrast, Iceman's just flat.

Overall they expected that you'd seen X1 but didn't build on it enough. Even the opening CGI sequence was a poor rehash of the first one.

BTW Jubilee only had 2 words in the movie, she was one of the 6 kids kidnapped... Gambit (Remy LeBoeuf) was the name above Magneto's (Eric Lenscher) when Mystique was searching the computer files, he didn't appear in the movie. Hank McCoy (Beast) was the scientist interviewed on TV.

Oh yeah, and was anyone else grossed out when the cat licked Wolverine's claws? I'm sure they don't come out 100% clean of bodily fluids and stuff (blood, skin etc)

Island Son, don't forget the name "Franklin Richards" on one of the desktop folders on the second computer that Mystique was looking at.

Also, I wanna fuck Kelly Hu in the Deathstrike costume. I usually don't go for Asian chicks, but shit I'd make an exception for her.

X2 was amazing. I was a little dissappointed they didnt bring collosus into it more, if they expand on his character that'd be great. he was a badass. His mutant sister had some bitchin powers too. As for strykers son being morpheus im not too sure on that one i dont think he was. also i hope in x3 they bring sabretooth into play. As wolverines father and arch nemesis their fight scenes would be great. and they x-men are still missing arch angel, i believe he was one of the original x-men. i dont think iceman was an original but i believe he came in later on. I'd like to see how they expand on the jean-grey/pheonix character, it was a good storyline in the comic. i'd like to see if they have jean-grey die the same way as in the comic.

i really dont mind if the movie deviates from the comic's storylines. If I want true X men, I'll read the comics, which I don't any more..But I like seeing different spins.

I also wish they had 3 teams of writers and diretors churning out X men films all the time, with different actors for each movie. That way we get more X men, like maybe one movie a year.. And we get to see different people play the parts of the X men, which i would like to see, but I imagine others would think it'd suck.

I thought the movie was great. One thing though is I never really got into the comics as a kid, so the Stryker thing went over my head. (he was the guy he made a second cerebro and made wolverine and Lady death Strike right?)

Could some one explain the whole Stryker/son/Professor X angle too me?

They better bring out Pheonix correctly.. thats gonna be a really hard character to both act out, and create.

i thought she was exactly like jean grey summers in looks and personality and even believed herself to be jean until the phoenix got corrupted by jason wyngarde and became dark phoenix and absorbed the sun or some shit...

She acts differently when she get's angry/jeolous... when she starts to release, she also is a huge fiery pheonix (bird).. be quite some graphic work they would have to do.. they better do it right ;)

Yea.. Stryker is both.. Wolverines creater (as far as the amantium), and also had a tie with prof x, because he sent his son to professor x's school for the gifted, in hopes that professor x could "cure" him.. in otherwords, make him human, non-mutant. But rather, the Illusionist (stryker's son), became more powerful, and learned to channel his powers, and upon returning home to his father, was hated, and neglected. Stryker got his hate towards Prof x from that. the Illusionist also gained hate towards the professor, for the lack of bringing him and his father closer, thus, stryker used his own son against the professor.
