Woman Advice

A girl (friend A) I know was visiting me recently and we went out with one of her friends (friend B) and her friend's roomate.

The roomate struck me in an appealing way. Somewhat rare.

After dinner, I asked friend A and B about roomate. They said she had broken up two months ago with a guy she had been seeing for two years and were very discouraging of any interest I had.

I later had my friend (freind A) ask her same friend (freind B) who was with us to get me her number. According to my freind (A), her friend (B) said that the roomate was not interested in dating anyone (I'm not sure if I was mentioned in particular or whenever that conversation would have happened - possibly before I met her), so friend B was not giving up the number.

However, I do know where the roomate works. My initial plan was just to call her today or tomorrow at her office.

I'm still inclined to call her up. At her office. Consequences damned (like I care, anyway).

Thoughts?

Hmm. I just noticed the other topics on this board. Maybe not the best place to ask a relatively innocent question. Eh, why not?

Well you could have been discourgaed for a very good reason....then again waht do you have to lose by calling her

I don't see why you got friend A or B involved in the first place. YOu're getting second-hand information and, as we all know, most women have their own agenda when discussing OTHER women with a man that is interested in said woman.

Go straight to the source bro. But personally, I would not call a woman at her office to try and pick her up. It's kind of tacky and a little akward. I'd take a different approach

i concurr but it may not hurt to send her some flowers what not and a thank you note for the pleasant company at dinner

In short, yes call her!
I agree with Gymgurl, you have nothing to lose.

If you're really interested, dont let someone else discourage you. Besides, you will come off much more attractive if you pursue her yourself rather than trying to get "help" from her friends.

I'm with Killa, I would have never asked someone else for her number. I mean even if she had given it to you how fu@#ing awkward is that. I hate when someone calls me that I didn't give my number to.

I feel the same about office calls. If I'm busy at work the last thing I need is someone calling while my boss is on my ass. I just think too many bad things can happen with office calls.

Chalk this one up as a lesson learned and hope you get another chance. I'm sure if it is a circle of friends you'll be seeing her again somewhere. Right?
