Wolfgang Puck's BBQ Sauce

vixenbabe

Classy Skank
Grill these veggies on a preheated grill: Use a splash of olive oil to coat before roasting!

3 Onions
2 Apples
2 Red Peppers

Chop all the roasted veggies up in small bits.

2 T Cinnamon
2 T Corrander
1/4 Cup Brown sugar
1 cup Red Wine Vinegar
3 T. Molassas
4 T. Worch. Sauce
1 cup Ketchup
1 small can tomato paste
dash of salt
Tai chili flakes

Cook entire mixture(including roasted veggies) on the grill for an hour. Use a deep metal pot.

Blend all ingred. into a blender til smooooth.

Keeps in the fridge for a week. I've nit tried freezing but I'm sure it could be tried!

ENJOY!

Vixen, thanks for the recipe. I'm an aspiring cook/grill master and this does sound good. Is this what they really use in the restaurant? How'd you come across it? one of his recipe books? I'm looking for a new secret bbq sauce recipe that will blow away the one I have right now.

I have a few of his cook book's.

(I added some stuff to the recipe for my own version) I love to mix recipes up on my own !

That sounds delicious bro! I wish that it lasted longer than a week. Defiantley going to give it a try.

Karma to ya.

Does "t" stand for table spoon or teaspoon?

How hot do you turn the grill up?

lil "t" stands for teaspoon....Big "T" stands for Tablespoon!

Grill ? : Preheat it as you would on anything----Turn it down to med. high for cooking. I like my veggies slightly blackened though! Do 'em to your own taste!

Great sauce Vix, I have used that one on grilled prawns, big fat U-5's, it really rocks. Grill some thick slabs of sourdough, spoon over some some grilled corn and hominy salad drizzledwith some sage and lemon oil, toss the prawns in the bbq sauce and go to town with a big yeasty beer.

WOW, thank you! I am ready to feast!

Storage: There are no starches in this that would suffer from any retrogradation, so freezing/thawing should work like a charm.

Were you in on the spinach orgy?... I mean spinach 'thread'? That was sexy. Not as sexy as you dripping with Tupelo Honey, but not bad.
