To get the benifits of gear to increase speed, you must train for it! Run hills, run with a training paracute, etc. You must stretch. Flexabilty is so important with speed. Do explosion exercises, like low weight squats with a hop at the top, clean and jerks, fast reps. Gear will only add new muscle, but that doesnt mean that new muscle will be make you run faster. If you condition that new muscle you then will become faster.
