Will Animal Pack increase protein synthesis?

I read on a previous thread that if you deprive your body of even one major nutrient or mineral it could retard or greatly decrease your protein synthesis. I couldnt locate the thread or remember who said it. My question is do you guys think a superior multivitamin like animal pack would have any influence on protein synthesis?

That is 110% true. I am sure you heard it from someone else but I have said it a million times while referring to the biggest reason of all NOT to drink alcohol while on cycle. It depletes your body of SOOoooo many vital nutrients that for basically two days your body can hardly sythesize any protien into muscle. That and it Eff's up your liver even more while on orals than using just orals alone

Oh to answer your question. In my opinion it would not hurt but I doubt it would do anything better than a good multi-vitamin and maybe a few others thrown (Vit B complexes, flaxseed oils potassium (esp while on HGH) zinc magnesium etc. depending on what you are taking. Too much of ANY good thing is a bad thing. You CAN O.D> on vitamins and minerals. Vitamin C you can usually take as much as you want you will just piss out the unused but most of the others can have some unwanted affects. I have nutrition books that show side affects of too much of individual vitamins. Charts are availlable throughout the net too

true the body does not needs just fat carbs and protien it needs literally 100's of micro and macro nutrients some in larger amounts but some in trace amounts.

If even just a few pieces of the puzzle are missing the bodys ability to build muscle can greatly be altered .

I am not a nutritional expert so I can not say exactly what every person needs becuase every one is unique as far as vitamins minerals go.

I did feel animal packs were ok but everything could be purchased separate in larger quanities cheaper except all the little amounts of next to nothing they added to make it unique.

If you are not eating then sure it will inhibit your ability to build muscle. Just look at all the guys that walk around hitting the weights several times a week and never making any progress---bad diet. You have to eat to get big. I don't think taking extra vitamins will speed up the process but just bring your nutrient levels you back to where you should be at if you aren't eat properly. I would even venture to say that if you are eating enough to gain weight then you probably will not even need a vitamin supplement athough it doesn't hurt.

Thats probably one of the worst reply's ive seen. Its so generalised it can apply to everything... How about, eat Red Meat for you main meals, chicken when you've had enough, red meat provided alot of nutrience. Yes take a multi, its always good, the body excreats whats unnecessary.

I used to take animal pak, would take it again.

I think animal pack falls under the catagory that if they are not a sponser here then their products suck. seems to be the new trend

Acually, Animal Pak is pretty good albeit a little pricy and it has a lot of window dressing ingredients. The GNC isn't bad for the price but lacking somewhat. Even the Vitamin Shoppe brand is pretty decent.

But if you want the most complete formula you can compare ingredients and dosages for yourself with this: http://proteinfactory.com/shop/product.php?productid=427&cat=0&page=1
