Why do you Bodybuild????

Bodybuilding is a commitment. It requires a willing mind and an able body. It takes time, resources and a whole lotta grit. And when you see the results of all of that hard work, you realize that it definitely pays off in the end. But it can still be hard to get to the gym, considering 8 hour work days and countless other things going on.

After seeing this video about 8 X Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman, it’s obvious why he is has had such a successful streak in bodybuilding. He’s driven by passion. He loves bodybuilding and being a LEO, and there’s nothing out there that’s going to prevent him from doing what he loves. Do you love bodybuilding? What motivates you to get your freak on and push weight every day?

Just a quick intro on Ronnie Coleman before you watch this video… Ronnie’s first claim to fame was playing college football with the GSU Tigers. Not only was he a good athlete on the field, but he graduated from GSU cum laude. After graduating, Ronnie started working as a police officer in Arlington Texas where he has enjoyed working ever since.

On an unsuspecting day, Ronnie was introduced to amateur bodybuilder Brian Dobson by a fellow police officer named Gustavo Arlotta. This meeting was huge. Dobson offered Coleman a lifetime membership at his gym named Metroflex if Coleman agreed to let Dobson train him for a bodybuilding competition. Ronnie won the competition and has been competing as a professional bodybuilder ever since, having won dozens of titles.

Ronnie still lives in Arlington, TX and continues to put in 8 hour work days as a policeman and working out 4 days/week. It suffices to say that he’s a busy guy, considering all the traveling, competing, training and community involvement he does – and he couldn’t be happier
