why do they call strikeouts 'K' in baseball..

originally strikeouts were called "struck out"

and above already explains why the S was not used.

btw--Go Blue. I flew out to see Michigan play Northwestern last year. It was my first time in the big house. I hope to go again soon. If I can get cheaper tickets. :)
