My question is, you can normally tell someone who is gay becuase they look great, perfectly groomed
have an extremely clean domicile

(domicile) wow, I haven't heard that used before.

ok, well getting to the question at hand. ummmm, I think it's their feminine side. they can dance great too, and they always have great tips on how to do little things to impress chicks. they are in touch with their feminine side. well I think they are, or maybe they are. ok, I really don't know the reason, but that could be reason.

Conan, very true statement. But there are some of us straight guys who can dress pretty good. I think most gay guys look hideous. eeewww they have a distinct smell about them hahaha. Anyway good luck on the shopping spree:D

Perfection, are you a female? If so we have a rule here that ladies have to post a pic.

Damn it still waiting for some help

maybe if there are some women with good taste that would help too

It's not just clothes, it's an overall sentistivity to detail.

I adore all my gay male clients, they are a pleaure to work with and always say thank you.

What kinda clothes are you looking for?

Conan69,

You're welcome to send me a PM if you have any questions about how to be gay. Otherwise, take your charge card to Banana Republic and buy whatever you can afford. Always remember, the classics never go out of style.

When I think of the word perfection, I associate it with females. sort of like the word beautiful.

see that is my point

all those stores suck for me

i am a litte bigger than average

so i never fit into pants (quads and glutes to big)
see my waist is smaller than the size i need to fit my legs

as for shirts
they never fit right because if i get the size biggest enough to fit my chest, back and shoulders

then it is too long and it looks stupid if i leave it untucked and some things you just dont tuck them in

and for get any shirts for suits, i cant find and 37/38 with 19 inch necks

so i guess i need to have all my shit talor made

"an extremely clean domicile"

don't gay dudes also have superior vocabularies which incude words such as "domicile."

for all my homies out there:

domicile=crib

toon in tomorrow for your next lesson in stereotyping

:)

maybe not that extreme - Banana Republic is nice stuff, well, lookswise, but it is still like the Gap or any of those where they try to churn out as many pairs of whatever as possible.
If you go to a Brooks Brother's store you can get some really nice stuff and they will tailor it as much as they can to fit you - this might be a good option and the tailoring is usually pretty cheap.

this is part of the reason I don't do legs that much, I'm tearing out of all the pants that used to be okay on me. and I suppose why models don't do legs either.

Quick response,

I haven't even read the comments on here, but I've always pondered this. I've visited many places and I think South Beach and Madison around 5th are where to check stuff out.

Brooks Brothers??? Are they a chain...go they have nice apparel

are you in a city? they've been in every large city I've been in.
they are perfect for suits, and they have what I consider nice clothes otherwise as well. nicer than the mall stores.
I wouldn't consider their clothes to have the current european flare that Banana Republic is trying to go for, but they are still nice.

I qualify myself with some knowledge on this b/c I used to dress well enough that I got hit on by gay guys a lot - now for my current job I don't have to dress well, and I'm bigger and don't fit the clothes as well, so I suppose I've lost whatever I had. I also got many comments in the T stations in the city about my butt from teenage black girls.
don't ask me, I have no idea why I attracted that particular demographic set. :)

I have had similar difficulty at stores like Banana Republic and the Gap. Brooks Brothers is a good choice if you are going for a very conservative, traditional look. Their clothers always conjure up images of Wall Street investment bankers for me. Maybe great for business, but not necessarily appropriate for an evening out.

If you are looking for casual street clothes, I've had better luck at Structure and Abecrombie & Fitch, both of which are national chains. Some of their lines are designed for bigger, muscular men.

But ultimately, the issue isn't just what they wear, but also how you wear it. First, make sure your clothes are ironed or folded. It doesn't matter how great your clothes are, if they are wrinkled and dirty, you will look like a slob. Second, a great shirt and a great pair of pants don't necessarily make a great outfit. If you are unsure about how to mix and match, look at what the store owners put on the mannequins and buy the whole ensemble. Last, don't pull your belt down below your waist -- it just makes your gut look bigger. Why straight guys do this I'll never know...

abercromie has some really huge stuff. and it is well made, or at least was in the past, I don't shop there any more since they are mainly overrun by meatheads these days.
the "but whatever the mannequin" is wearing is a good idea, but not at abercrombie - they tend to put all the shirts on one mannequin and you'd look like an idiot if you did that.

and yeah, brooks brothers is in fact what most investment bankers buy - but the suits. their casual stuff is very preppy though.

I think the last time I was in Brooks Brothers was to buy my high school graduation suit. I didn't know that they sel casual stuff, too. Good to know:)

Because gays know what looks good on a both man and woman's body------gays know what women want..

Most of what I wear outside the gym is Tommy Hilfiger (shirts/slacks). I know that is preppy, but that is what I wear to work

Not in the majority costs

I looked at the Brooks site. I noticed good sale prices for suits that are measured by jacket size. The problem is the pants that come with the jacket are way too large for some peoples waists. I recently paid nearly $100 to have pants recut and they still fit funny. For most people that 2pc suits fit but in our situation the separates are more appropriate. Unfortunately their prices for separates drove me off that site. I don't see myself paying $178+ shipping for pants unless I win the lottery.

Hell yeah JohnnyO !

I used to get these little catalogs from International Male. They have some of the coolest clothes and not that expensive either.

are you saying my clothes scattered about my apartment on the floor are a bad thing?
at least I seperate into clean and dirty piles on the floor.

and if I need to look nice I can clean up okay ;)

Bachrach

www.bachrach.com has nice clothing. I have often wondered why gays are the way they are as well. I have very good taste in clothes, too, but I am not gay. For casual clothes I like to wear tommy jeans and nautica shirts usually....

i second international male and banana republic, eddie bauer is nice also

not gay just dress nice and dont have a clue what women want

clothes

Bro, if your from new york area, which it sounds like you should have no problem. You can't go wrong with Donna Karan, Armani exchange, French Connection, Prada and im a big fan of Banana because they have stylish clothing for cheap prices.

Kenneth Cole and DKNY for men's shirts-nice and fitted.

Have trouble with slacks though-can't get a good fit because quads and glutes are too big. Slacks look too tight.

Kenneth Cole for shoes.

From the look of the pic you have in your Avatar...

"Naked Brother's" is your best bet.....

:)

I bet is has to be tough for the bigger guys finding clothes that fit. Do you have to go to a tailor?
