half of my friends who work for MCI in pentagon city saw the plane actually crash into the pentagon... I saw the flash and the plume of smoke from the memorial bridge... My friends at MCI were on the 11th floor, and the plane flew right next to their building and 2 seconds later hit the pentagon.. its right there. We were going to do happy hour, but everyone was too shaken up.. not much to be happy about.

I was watching it from Boulevard East in North Bergen, where I used to have a fantastic view of the skyline

I came up out of the subway at Chambers Street (4 blocks from WTC), when the second plane hit. I looked straight up at the towers and saw the two gaping, flaming holes. I went to my office to get my co-workers out. When we were about to leave the building, we heard the rumbling/sucking sound of the first tower crumbling. It's a sound I had never heard before! We headed north. Luckily, we headed north before the plumes of smoke and concrete reached us.
