Who here uses a training journal?

I haven't seen this topic posted on any of these boards. I am fairly new to bodybuilding and have contemplated using one but are they really that effective in areas such as motivation and keeping track of progress. I always figured the mirror was the best indicator in of progress in this sport. Plus I hate writing things down and suck at record keeping. Is it worth investing in one?
 
I bought one for my handsping Visor called weights. It was nice, keep up with everything and would even graph progress. I do not use it anymore though. Got tired of carrying it
 
I got one to keep up with my cycles and food intake as far as training I never keep up with a journel. I keep that in my head.
 
I never leave home without it! It's actually my pocket book diary so it's small.
I only use it while bulking, the idea being I want to either :
a) add 2 1/2 lbs every week on a given exercise. or,
b) add 1-2 more reps for that weight.

I have the memory of a gold fish, so I can't remember what I did yesterday, let alone last week!

It's good getting to this time of year and looking back in your diary in say, January to see what you were lifiting and you think, man WHAT A WEED I WAS!!!:D
 
To tell you the truth I probably should use one, but my whole dam life is so dam organized that I need some confusion!LOL.
