For some reason i can't stand it anymore, i go 2 days on, one day off. this is past weeks routines

sun-chest + tri + light abs(2-4 sets)
mon- back
tue-off
wed- legs + heavy abs(8-10-sets)
thu- shoulders bic
fri -off
sat - chest + tri + light abs(2-4 sets)

then started out with back on sunday, then off on monday and so on. does anyone else hit it this way?

I train chest on day 1, back and shoulders day 2, so after the heavy deads I always take day 3&4 off

I usually take weekends off from lifting.

My off days are Tuesday, Friday, Saturday.

my off days are going to be:

week 1: tuesday, thursday, saturday, sunday
week 2: tuesday, wednesday, friday, saturday, sunday

on some off days i might do light abs and lower back, and of course active recovery whenever i need it

I take of Wedensday, Saturday and Sunday. My gains have been much better since I went from 5 trainings days a week down to 4, thus giving me those two consecutive rest days.

i go-

mon; chest bis
tues; quads, hams
wed off
thurs; delts, calfs, abs
friday; back tris
sat off
sun off

works great

My off days are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Jeremy's,
So, you are only training 3 days a week on week 1, and 2 days a week on week 2? How come the low number of workout days? (Just curious...)

I pay close attention to my body, sometimes I only need a day sometimes 2. It's not uncommon to go 3 days if I'm worn out. Chances are the rest will do me better than a half-ass workout. If I must, I'll go do stretching and recovery and maybe some cardio.

I only lift on tuesdays & fridays. Unless we count cardio as training ( I do 30-60 minutes 5 times a week), I take 5 days a week off.
Tuesday: deadlift (alternate regular and stiff legged), reverse grip lat pulldown, lincline press, military press, shrugs, weighted crunches (35-45 minutes to complete)
Friday: leg press, toe press on leg press machine, close-grip press, preacher curl (25-35 minutes to complete)
2-4 sets of each lift, though I do 4 sets on everything but preacher curls, shrugs and crunches (crunches only get one set, and even then not every week)

JOKER, i will be training for strongman.

week A i'm going to do a squat day, a bench day, and a dead day, in that order.

week B i'll take off of lifting and do events on monday and thursday

i will as soon as this one stops working. i haven't even squatted with good form before, only really really shitty form. my deads i have to build up slowly, because of my back. i'm thinking i'll do 5x5 for the main 3 lifts, then as soon as i start to plateau, i'll switch to a split like b folds

My lifting split sucks because of the way my job is. One week I lift
On Wednesday and Thursday and off the other days and the next week I lift on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Then it starts over with the Wed and Thu. OH well thats the price you pay to have a real job.

Gotcha. Please keep us posted on how your strongman training is going.

The job is definitely a factor. There are lots of factors, actually. Emotional stress has been one of them lately. Admittedly, going out has been a factor as well, in the past and I'm sure in the future.

It all depends how my week goes, basically. It's so hard to have a set routine and stick w/ it due to my job and the other factors mentioned. But, it's still about discipline. For instance, w/ NYE coming on a Tues Nite this year, not getting into the gym at least Saturday, if not also Sunday, is not an option this week. Though, I usually take weekends off.... due to going out.

I'm not a huge drinker.. maybe 2-3 vodkas tops during the whole course of a nite. But, I dance a lot and make up for it in an incredible cardio session (maintaining optimal heartrate, btw.. lol).

I tend to sleep in weekends a lot to make up for that. But, again.. not this weekend.. not an option.

i work out 4 days a week! monday, wed, fri, sat i take tues, thurs, sunday off! iv noticed bigger gains and alot more strength since iv came off my cutting cycle (running 3.5 miles and working out everday)
