Who has anything planned for the 4th?

Independance Day is my Birthday I always party. This year we have arranged for our two boys to stay with their grand parents while we leave town for a few days. We are going to Hot Springs. We leave 7-1-4 and return on the 5th, but we dont have to go to work until the 6th!! We both used some vacation days to have an extended weekend.

What teh? Hot Springs? Yes people. If you dont know, Hot Springs, AR has bed & bath (hot spring water baths & mineral baths) Wife spend one whole day with manicure, pedicure, hair do, tanning bed, mineral bath, and full body massage. While she is doing that I drive to Lake Ouchita and go Striper fishing, I will try to get a few pics ;) I never go Striper fishing and return without a cooler full of filets baby!!

So when I get back with my iced chest full of fish filets, she is already in a very good mood. I leave @ 5am and get back about 4pm on day one. Then I go to the hotel gym to break a sweat, then I go have a hot mineral bath and boom I am back to the room to get dressed for dinner.

No baby sitting + pamper wife + plus catch 30+ lb. stripers + Hot Springs, AR + pamper self + Independance Day + Birthday = Romantic Rawkin Birthday Weekend for F4lcon. :beer:

Damnit! I wish it wasnt so far away...

Me? Hubby and I are going sailing with my crew around Put-N-Bay. Talk about a party island..Whew!
 
Yes, it is fun...I love this time of year. I really take no time off work except now and around Christmas and New Years. VB, I should have known you and hubby would be out enjoying the lake. Will you be fishing? My wife goes once in a while, but she likes girly stuff better than fishing. But hey fishing in a bathing suit is like laying out all day. :)

Tell me a little about this PUT-N-BAY VB.
 
PutN-Bay is a small Island in Lake Erie...Rather laid back until the weekend comes around. It then becomes party central! Young adults will come outta the wood work to have a good time.

I can recall several year's ago, more than I care to admit, when the place was dead. Now, you can't find a place to tie up your boat around the docks. It's a lot of fun providing they stay on dry land and NOT come near us drunk on the water.

Me fish? HA! No way, I can't stand fishing to be honest. Now, my lil girl LOVES to fish with her daddy! She catches bullfrogs and fish. Hooks her own bait too. She's no girlie-girl! Cute as hell, just all Tom Boy. I was like that as a child too though.

Sounds like a time and a half, Falcon.

Mrs. Chef, my wee three and I are all flying to the states on the third, my brother and his family, my sister and her family, my folks, my oldest sister and her boyfriend... the whole crew chilling at my mom and dad's 'farm'.

The picture is pretty much the same, just the kids get bigger... all the adults arrayed on the back deck under two huge maple trees, watching the kids go ape over by the apple trees where my old man built a two level pirate ship with gangplanks and masts and canon, the whole nine, kids swinging off the mainmast, too fun, my brother and I tossing out some 12 bar: him on the harp, me on the slide, beers aplenty, meat ready to sizzle on the grill, bigger kids husking sweet corn, my old man playfully giving me shit from the hammock....

Heaven for me. I love them and love that place.

Tellin' ya, Hotness, that place is the whole package. 425 acres of god's country, mostly forest, pool, tennis court, trout stream runs the length of the property.... and my dad wonders why I don't go more exotic places with the family.... silly man.

Sounds good bro. My birthday is July 7th but I make it a point to do nothing. I like it like that.

Getting back to STL on July 2nd. Going to Vegas and LA for the 7 days right before the 4th weekend.

When we get back... we're going straight to the lake of the ozarks.
 
Chef that place sounds like absolute heaven to be at! I don't blame you one bit for taking the family there.

Here in Sandyeggo, we're having a family BBQ, hanging up a few flags, watching fireworks and try to keep the drunks from falling into my koi pond. Normally the electric fence discourages them getting too close, but some are just too drunk to feel the jolt! It's the peach martinis the wife makes with kettleone, extra stout!
 
I have to be at work on Monday morning at 5:30 so I prolally won't do a thing. Or I will do something and show up to work still drunk...not that that has happened before.

(hey Chef my b-day is aug 4th...the big 3-OH. we can have a big decade blowout party!)
 
On the 4th we're planning on breaking into the home of the old American couple living next door and making them march up and down the motorway in their undies with a Union Jack draped over their shoulders and forcing them to sing God Save the Queen. Beatings will ensue if they fail to comply. Just to keep them in line, show them who's boss etc :supercool

Happy Birthday bor!!!! :beer: Looks like you & me have something in common. We're both firecracker babies!! heheh Me & my crew are leaving here on the 5th & going to Gatlinburg for a week. I can't wait. That sounds nice that you & the wifey to get away without the kids. It's great to get a break like that once in a while. Happy fishing! :)
 
4th was my parents' anniversary. They made it to 50 years before my mom died.

Seashell and Dawg will be celebrating Canada Day on July 1st right? Question what do you celebrate on Canada Day?

My plans. Wake up and thank the founding fathers for providing me my freedom and a country to call my home. Next Golf most likely. Followed by lots of beer, and swimming. Then most likely a mini fireworks show in our driveway. This will be G-baby's first real 4th so hopefully he won't get to scared. Oh and my oldest Z-boy will most likely be burning himself in some way, shape or form.

Ya'll stop harassing Seastone, it makes me jealous and stuff. I wish I were a single Canadian. If I were, I would take Seastone out on a real date and show you wimps how to win the love of a lady like her!! Of course, she wont be allowed to drive my bike, so BigDawg may win her love, but I would still have my manhood!

Ummm back the truck up there assmunch LOL. I didn't say she could drive me, that would be the fucking day that I go on the pad!!! I said she could drive it!
 
July 4th is my absolute FAVORITE holiday ever! To me it is better than Christmas/Thanksgiving/Valentines whatever.....I adore fireworks and hanging out at the lake or pool all day eating watermelon and bbq'ing.....

you can find me laying on a blanket down by the arkansas river watching the fireworks w/my friends :)
