Hi, I kind of new to weight-training, 1.5 years or so... I've been reading some books and articles/forumposts, for example Mark Rippetoe Starting Strength, Jim Wendlers 5/3/1, StrongLift 5x5 and Madcows 5x5.

Now I'm choosing between 5/3/1, SL5x5 and Madcows version of Bill Starr's 5x5 (_http://stronglifts.com/madcow/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm) as my program - what are Your opinions about these programs? Cons and Pros!

Any input appreciated!

I had good success with stronglifts. Did it for 12 weeks, followed the program exactly as its written and my strength skyrocketed on my compound lifts. Gained 10 pounds of muscle too! I recommend this program to everyone that's starting out or who is trying to increase on the 3 main lifts(bench, squat, deadlift)

Interested in input from other lifters who have tested the other programs I'm choosing from, that is 5/3/1 or Madcows 5x5 (Bill Starr).

I would start with the 5x5 and then move over to the 5/3/1
