I read somewhere that certain AAS increase collagen synthesis and calcium deposits in bone. Which would do this?

Technically pretty much all aas will increase collagen synthesis to varying degree.

the amounts that are used in bodybuilding are completely counter productive to this.. if that was wrong then they would still be using AAS in modern medicine, but they don't.

None to my mind do so in a meaningful way. For example Deca but don't think of it as a cure.
