Whey Protein Vs. Cottage Chesse

What do you think is better to take during a mid-morning snack? Whey Protein such as Optimun Nutrition 100% whey or Pro complex, or cottage chesse. I know whey gets into your bloodstream very fast, and cottage chesse is slower, and has a more steady release of amino acids. After, I drink 100% whey shake (normally 2 scoops, and 12 oz of water) a few minutes later I have to piss like a horse. What is your opinon?

Why not both?......unless its post workout, i try to get a combination of whey and casein protein. A meal to me is cooked, a snack would be a can of tuna on 2 slices of whole grain bread with a glass of milk and a banana. But if i really dont have time, ill grab a protein shake, throw in some cottage cheese, and a 1/4 cup of oats, blend and enjoy.

Yeah seriously, it really is good. I nuke the CC and PB for like 30s to get the PB soft, then I toss in the whey and mix it all up.

It is such a good snack if you have a craving for sweets.

bro, i've tried the c.c. and anpb, i'm not aure but that had to be about the nastiest shit i have ever eaten. i didnt heat it up but, either way, i dont think it matters. i'm wondering how much c.c. is too much?? i mean I'll eat 1 cup 2-3 times a day. it's low fat but still it's dairy. i admit though, it does make a great snack to slam real quick and get going.

I prefer cottage cheese for its filling ability and slow-digestion.

However if you are drinking the shake and eating some other whole food along with it, I would imagine it would slow down the digestion process.

If you are bulking I doubt it would make much of a difference either way. Unless you were getting your protein almost exclusively from shakes, in which case amino acid retention might be a concern.
