Where to start.....

Hey all

Very new here so please be nice :-)

I am really wanting to get into shape and eventually compete and dont really know where to start.
After having my kids I now feel like its time to stop using the baby fat excuses and start concentrating on getting me back to how I was before they were here lol.

I try to keep my routine the same as the kids seem to be getting into it but I am really struggling with food as I am so fussy with what I do and dont like. I also struggle to eat more than 3 meals a day and tbh I wont lie i normally skip lunch which is something I really need to work on.

Breakfast - 2 egg whites and 50g smoked salmon
Lunch - If I do eat it's cottage cheese and pineapple with tomato and lettuce in pitta or without the pitta
Dinner - Chicken and Green veg
Supper - 50g natural yogurt

I take fish oil, vit C, Berocca, Multi Vit everyday

I go the gym everyday apart from Sunday and aint gonna lie i'm unfit as hell. I do weights 4 times a week and a pump class twice a week and then the other times it's treadmill and bike.

The last few weeks i am starting to enjoy it more and have decided now is the time to start taking it seriously and i am aiming for my 26th Birthday to at least be at my goal weight if not ready to compete (my weight atm is 62kg and i'm 5ft 4in, I am aiming to lose a good 10kg)

Any help or information would be great :-D xoxo

o whoops forgot to say

I have been taking Clen and that seems to be fine, but I was taking pre, intra and post workout but they made me feel sick so I stopped

You're barely eating, girl...how old are you btw? Clen is a dangerous drug, lots of safer options out there...

I'm 25 and I know I really struggle to eat and need ideas of foods to make up in bulk etc as I know it's not a excuse but struggle with having 2small children so I forget to eat and need to get myself used to it again x

I'm a guy but this may help. I started getting serious when I felt like crap about how I looked and it was effecting my self esteem. That is a slippery slope that destroys all aspects of life.
Eventually I realized if I want anything in life I have to earn it myself. It doesn't matter how many times I fall I have to keep going for what ever it is. I have to be smart and realize why I failed so I can make a smarter approach the next time.
You can look how ever you want. You just have to say "I want it and I am going to get it". Don't let anyone stop you. Just use it as motivation.
Its not a work out motivation thing. This is a life thing! If you decide to do this and go all out your whole life will change for the better. Your confidence will go up in all aspects of life. You will realize you can do things when you put your mind to it.
Here is what I recomend:

Start a "journal" today on this forum. Update it every day with what you eat and drink... how much, when etc. Also list your routine if you work out. Here is what that will do. It will keep you honest and when you want to cheat or skip a work out you will not because you know everyone is watching. Because everyone is watching they can offer advice to tweak what you are doing to get you better results. They will also offer a support system. Lastly, you will inspire others to step up to their goals.

Do it. You are worth it and you can do it!

Great advice, slat1 basically took the words outta my mouth, I startedwhen i was 18 consider yourself lucky back in my day thee was no internet so i had to learn from the school of hard knocks, sometimes i would train over 3 hrs ,was i overtraining ,you bet but it was worth giving up the 4-5 pounds of muscle because by doing that it established a determination and Drive that still sticks to me this day,
How you look starts in the Kitchen

You need at least 6-7 smaller servings per day with some protein in each., You can do this by eating clean whole foods, not processed.
Protein should come a variety of things.Seafood is one of the best sources of Protein because it's usually low in fat. Fish such as salmon is a little higher in fat but it is the heart-healthy kind: omega-3 fatty acids.

White-Meat Poultry
Stick to the white meat of poultry for excellent, lean Protein. Dark meat is higher in fat. The skin is loaded with saturated fat, so remove skin before cooking.

Milk, Cheese, and Yogurt
Not only are dairy foods -- like milk, cheese, and yogurt -- excellent sources of Protein but they also contain valuable calcium. Choose skim or low fat dairy to keep bones and teeth strong, prevent osteoporosis, and enhance weight loss.

Eggs
Eggs are one of the least expensive forms of Protein. The American Heart Association says normal healthy adults can safely enjoy an egg a day.

Beans
One-half cup of beans contains as much Protein as three ounces of broiled steak. Plus, these nutritious nuggets are loaded with fiber to keep you feeling full for hours.

Pork Tenderloin
This great and versatile white meat is 31% leaner than 20 years ago.

Soy
Twenty five grams of soy Protein daily can help lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. Combine soy Protein foods like tofu with a healthy low fat diet.

Lean Beef
Lean beef has only one more gram of saturated fat than a skinless chicken breast. Lean beef is also an excellent source of zinc, iron, and vitamin b12.

Protein on the Go
Grab a meal replacement drink, cereal bar, or energy bar. Check the label to be sure the product contains at least six grams of Protein, and is low in sugar and fat.
Needtobuildmuscle has a wide variety of supplements that is an excellent source of nutrition.
