im stealing this thread from a guy off the chat and conversation board.

but what made you pick your screen name??

mine came from the book of the Bible, i was in a Church drama group at the time and we used a piece of scripture from the book of Exodus to name ourselves - Fire by Night

(joker thought i got it from a song.....lol. )

so you see its interesting to find out what the really mean.......... like b fold the truth......... there is a funny story to that one. or cocheese the m-wave, or why they heck is it Brain9034749761876483716...........lol

When I first started lifting, I wanted bigger arms, 15" arms to be specific. Hence bigguns15. Not too concerned with getting 15" arms anymore (although I wouldn't mind), but I like the name :)
 
Becoming is a pantera song I loved back in the day. It kind of fits my mentality though.

I actually though of possible names for a long time while I was lurking around the board, and could not come up with anything I really liked, but then I don't have much experience naming myself.
 
A song by the Pixies (if you don't know, you're missing out on one of the greatest bands of all time, up there with the Beatles).
 
You would think mine might come from overhead pressing, but it is a reference to how waves are measured. You know, knee high, waist high, shoulder high, overhead, 1 ft overhead etc
 
I am actually a killer bee that taught itself how to turn on the computer, type, and communicate with human beings. I live in the ghetto though, so I say "killer" like this: "Killah".

speaking of which.......... posting this thread just rememined me that i never check my mail........so i just pulled it up, i dont have a way to use it here at work, ill do it later when i get home.......... if i like it, first music video i make that will be my intro.

On another board, I use "smugbug" - which was a nickname of one of my first birds. She use to sit up on her perch, she looked "smug as a bug" (which I'd tell her), and she started saying, "sssssmugbug".

Mine is the ancient egyptian symbol shaped represented as a figurative triangle on the keyboard with the letters r v and x, thus creating the eternal darkmatter which represents death, life and rebirth in the respective vertices of this mathematical scripture

i was reading tom clancys rainbow six and liked the idea of "techies"

then I tried to use it for my aol screen name with numbers but apparently you can't have "techie" in your screenname for security reasons. so i picked "tec"

when i registered here someone already had "tec" although i never see them post so i picked "t3c"

and here i am

Just something my wife called me one night a long time ago when we were drinking and being goofy.
It's just a made up word, and doesn't really mean anything, but it makes both of us smile when one of us says it.
 
Lord_Suston; funny joke on how a wannabe juicer came up to me and asked if I could get him Sustanon. At the time me and my friends didn't even know what that meant, lol. So they called me Lord Suston for short untill management told me what it really was, they weren't happy but me and my friends laughed our asses off

Cheesecake has been my nickname since I was in fifth grade. My teacher said that I used to chatter a lot. One of my friends thought she said cheddar. So, he started calling me cheddar. Which evolved into cheddar cheese, cheese whiz, cheese puff, cheese balls, cheesecake, cheese, etc. Cheesecake is the one that has stuck though.

In fact, I'm pretty sure that my dad has forgotten what my real name is. He always calls me either cheese or cheesecake.

The same damn thing happened to me. "Joker" was already registered here, but you can't find a post from them EVER, and EF Sam can't give me "Joker" because it's already "taken".:mad: :mad: :mad:

There should be a time limit for non-posting, then the use name is deleted. EF Sam??

Count Zero is a William Gibson novel. The one after Neuromancer.
Since his stuff is based so much in technology and cyberspace, I thought it would be funny to use as a handle. THe main character in teh book uses it as his handle too, and he is this novice computer hacker/fuckup who doesnt know his elbow from a hot rock, so I that that kinda fits me too.
 
I got mine off the cookbook, I've used this name since 98 in many internet aps..ect ak: Jollyrogers_cookin, Jollyroders, Jollyrodgers_cooking, Jollyrogers_cooking.
 
Mine is because of my other hobby, I ride four wheelers and I have 3 Yamaha Banshees, the one set up for drag racing runs on Methanol (alcohol) hence the name Alkybanshee. It is understood on all of the other boards I am on because of the nature of the sport. Here it is kinda outta place, but it has been my screen name so long I had to stick with it.

Joker47, my bro is Joker on all of the gaming sites like Xbox connect and stuff like that (but not here don't worry) because it is our doberman's name. :D
 
I like crazy shit, and I like it when people can get away with it, and D.B. Cooper hijacked a plane in 71' and had them land-got parachutes for him the pilots and a few others left plus $250,000 cash. Then had them take off and fly slow, kept them busy while he jumped out the back never to be found, a few thousand was found years later but that was it. They even have a lock on the doors now called a Cooper lock. He chose the plane because it had a rear door at the end of the plane-which made it perfect.

Dude-believe it or not I almost chose "becoming" as a name a month before you registeered. I was also considereing "I the Unlord" which I thought might be a little offensive.

When I was 17 or 18 I worked at a movie theatre....
A couple of my buddies worked there too...
Anyways.. I always seemed to meet girls or pickup chicks....
My one buddy thought I was "boning" everything(which i wasn't unfortunately) and whenever I started yappin to chicks would walk by and say "wasup dr.bones" lol

I was born in 1983. A Russian guy at uni used to call me Zander, short for Alexander, which is not even my real name. I have no idea why he did and I never thought to ask him :D

All of my friends call me by my surname or some derivative of it, so it was a nice change. Plus, since its nothing like my real name, it adds an element of anonymity and intrigue ;)
 
Oh, and if I were to register again, I would most definately chose a different name. I really don't like my username at all!

mine comes from an Anne Rice novel, Memnoch the Devil. my ex-wife used to say I was the devil incarnate so there you go. plus it just sounds cool I think...memnoch :devil:

My screen name is my first name followed by the two nines which represent my bicep measurements and the 4 is my neck measurement.

Just kiddin.......te he he :) Actually..... It`s my first name followed by my area code. It was the easiest thing that came to mind when I first signed in to Elite. I wasn`t worried about the name at the time, just wanted to get the sign in stuff over with. Would change it to something a lil more creative if I could....... :smash:

My training partner has TOO BIG on his licence plate, he has a jacked up 2 door tahoe. He also goes by TOO BIG on any kind of oline stuff...
 
MY husband and I are total slackers around the house...One weekend we had a HUGE workout, we did a ton of projects, and (I think) made all our meals in...I turned to him and asked "Aren't you glad you married me?" (totally joking, of course) and he responded with "Yeah, you're superwife." For some reason it stuck and it is an ongoing joke whenever I fix dinner or do something around the house...or have an especially awesome workout...

it's one of the many nicknames from my dad...

I go by "Nani" (pronounced nah-knee, not nanny!) which is part of my middle name..."Kananihokuokamaka" (letters 3-6).
Then it was "Nani-ba-la-ne".
Then "Bubble" (because I've always had a bubble butt)...this one stuck for a looooooooooong time.
"Dinosaur" because I would walk around and run into everything like I was a dinosaur...okay, so I'm a little reckless!
Then "Non", short for Nani.
That evlolved to "Nonerz." My teammates liked that one in particular and would call me that exclusively!
These days it is "Nonster,"

"Nani-Natasha" (Natasha is my real first name...only Dr's and teachers call me Natasha),
"Punani"-- yes, I know what it means,
or if you ask Nate, I am "My Precious," (he likes to say this like the troll-looking creature in Lord of the Rings...I hate it!

and his favorite name to call me, "Flower." Nate, how did you ever get started on that one? I think it started with some variation of "Lahi Pua" which means precious flower in Hawaiian...something like that!

Nonerz has been something that the majority of my friends and family have called me. It sounds pretty cool (to me at least) and I decided to spell it phonetically. Whew, that's a lot of names!:p

Like all the stories haha. My screen name comes from the violent fantasies of a young boy. hehe When I was 13 or so I was put in a closet in the back of the class by the teacher and had alot of fucking hatred hehe. I used to fantasize for hours about ripping thier flesh out with my teeth, eating them alive and such. Bad fucking experiences with people as far back as can be remembered. Ive never lost this mentality, and have never felt human.Could never relate to anyone else. haha So I began lifting to fulfill this fantasy, in a way, piercing myself and other types of things to keep myself in this state. It got to the point where even my weight gainer is called "the beast 100" and its even tatted on my forearm. Some of my edited pics in my gallery show what Im talking about. hehe and thus Walking Beast...cuz I dont crawl

i dont recall 100% what it means but something along the lines of him and a couple of guys ( i think brian74748~ was one of them) shared a name, so one of the guys nick names was bill fold, and someone had something to do with the the truth portion.

so it just kinda evolved into b fold the truth. hey, at sketchy best thats what i remember, i have heard the story twice, i should pay more attention, i just remember laughing too hard.
