When u get a craving...

When i get a craving for food and i shouldn't eat much this is what i do, granted it's gonna have carbs but they're ultimately low gi and good for you

I rip open a bag of mixed frozen veggies
green beans, peas, sweetcorn, baby carrots
i then steam them and eat until i'm full... i found that this kills all cravings for me as i like the taste especially when mixed with a touch of hot sauce... mix in some tuna for protein too

1/3rd of a bag (which was enough to fill me up lol) had about 15g of carbs!!!! :D

try it next time u get the munchies

That's what I do, too - is it time to bump my infamous "I ate a pound and a half of broccoli and several pounds of tomatoes" post? :D

ceebs, I was a bigger fan of your 'other' avatar :)

spinach/broccoli normally does the job for me...

how do u guys eat ur spinach, my mother makes some fantastic curries out of it but they are all sauteed in oil so i hardly eat her spinach... any good ideas?

I normally eat it raw, from the pack it comes in...We have a wholesale store called COSTCO/BJ's where they sell spinach in a bag (1 pound, .4 kg)...It contains about 8-10 swervings...I grab a handful and eat it straight or I may add some carb free dressing so I can dip it

You mean basically any other one than the really evil (and Photoshopped, I might add) one I'm rocking now? :)

You want to be careful with spinach, BTW. Uncooked it contains a harmful substance called oxalic acid, which inhibits the absorbtion of a lot of vitamins and minerals.

Bumped the thread.
