When to increase weight?

just wondering when i should start to increase weight on my sets, does anyone go by a certain time table? ex: after 2 weeks with the same weight add 5lbs. or w/e or should i just stick to the same weight until it gets too easy

I try to add at least 5 lbs a week to my main compound lifts, as for others if your able to complete all three sets and it wasnt too hard then its time to increase.

As a very general rule, I think you should increase the weight on any exercise that you can do 8 reps on...

That or whenever you get past 8 reps, it's time to add a few lbs.

Depends on what style training you're doing also.
 
no matter what rep range im at for a lift i never go past what what i intend on doing for reps(except last set). so with each set hard or easy i always add 5 or 10 pounds. but some times at the end of my sets ill rep out the weight. so if 5 reps is my goal on my last set and i can get 6 or 7 ill gor for it.
 
I try and add weight every workout, even if only by half a pound (I have microweights). To me, progress is progress.
 
always try to improve. i hate seeing guys doing all their stes with the same weight. so if one pound is all you can add good for you man. its better than nothing
