What's with all the late night homosexually-oriented threads being posted all the time?

Anyone else find this really lame? I mean, how many "olololol" or "lol I'm gay" threads are necessary? Worse yet, how are these threads self-sustaining and reaching multiple pages?

I'm an advocate of witty, humorous parody threads. However, once again, I am left with the question as to the utter obsession with homosexuality, as is made explicit in most poorly executed parody threads.
