whats the best protein shake combo in this situation

I eat carbs and protein at around 5:00 PM

Volleyball Class from 6:00 - 8:00 (very active)

Hit the gym at about 8:20, lift weights for about an hour

currently I'm drinking egg white protein and raw oatmeal/oatbran right after volleyball class, then whey and dextrose post work out.

Would I be better off with some sort of slow digesting+whey protein, low GI carb+dextrose combo (replenish glycogen and keep the supply steady)?

With the consumption of this shake in such close proximity of the post workout shake, would it be better to bypass the PWO shake and jsut wait about an hour and eat some protein and fats before bed?
 
I would take whey and dextrose post volleyballl there is not enough time for something more complex to digest before workout.
This will fuel the workout and its immediate recovery then after this is up to you you can take this again pwo would prob be optimal then go for the slower release option egg white protein and raw oatmeal/oatbran that you normally taek post volleyball def swap them or a different proper meal 40min -1hr later
 
i would bring a shake to the gym and sip it. this will help prevent catabolism in the gym and give you some energy. id do about 25g whey and 25g dextrose and sip it throughout the workout. pwo, drink 40gprotein + 40g dex for recovery. im not a believer of protein shakes post cardio for recovery but since you are lifting afterwards and you'll be catabolic, id suggest you drink one. you can also consider taking some amp02 right after your volleyball class to give you some energy through your workout. also, make sure you get some real food in an hour after that pwo shake. your body will be needing it.

This is what I would do as well, it’s the fastest way to replenish your glucose levels and start recovery, egg whites and oats will take more time to digest and oats are a slow release cab (not good pre/post workout)
