What would be the best treadmill (cost no object) to buy in terms of quality, reliability and shock absorbing system, etc? I won't try to save money in this as I had very bad experiences in the past, frequent breakdowns, bad knees&ankles.
a really good treadmill will set you back a LOT of years of "fitness centre" membership just to use their treadmill.... A life fitness treadmill is about 5k iirc. My uni gym uses precor treadmills. They have varying levels of cushioning so enquire about that. Cheap ones will NOT be as good as gym ones. Also make sure you can run yours at a speed a fair bit below the top speed as cranking the motor up to max will lower the treadmill's lifespan - eg. if you do a 6-minute mile, get one that goes up to 13mph not stopping at 10mph....
There are some really hardcore ones used by Andre Agassi and the like that do up to a 20% incline..... and go very fast....
Thanks for the replies. I was considering brands like Landice and True treadmills after extensive net search, reading reviews, ratings. What do you know about them?
