Ok Ill list off the ingredients of Hellmann's Mayonaise

Vegetable oil, water, liquid whole egg, white vineger, liquid egg yolk, salt, sugar, concentrated lemon juice, spices, calcium disodium edta.

I dont see any shortening, hydrogenated veg oil etc... just curious

sat fat content. Just get some canola mayo.. it doesn't taste half bad and it's got a higher omega profile.

Exactly. Canola oil mayo is great. Not quite as good as the real thing, but you get used to it easily. Little pricier though.

you can also make your own mayo with olive/canola/walnut oil + 1 yolk

healthier, taster, cheaper

Actually the saturated fat content in the regular Hellman's mayo I buy is the same as what is in canola or safflower mayo. According to the label there are no hydrogenated oils.

I think it works out to like 11 grams of fat per tablespoon with 1 of those being saturated.

I do like safflower mayo more because I think the EFA content is healthier. Doesn't mean regular mayo is bad.
