Whats best way to measure BF %?

the machines suck.. skin caliper test is usually the way to go. although i heard that you can have a test done in a pool where it measures your bouyancy or some shit, and your density... i think anyways. But its supposedly the most accurate, if you can find someplace to do it. but the skin calipers are perfectly fine imo

Just do a google search and you can find caliper. Calipers are only good if the person using them has experience, and if the calipers are good (not the rinky dink POS calipers). A good pair of calipers will cost around $200. Underwater weighing is the most accurate, but good luck finding a place that does it (best place to look may be a college with an Exercise Science Department). There's also Bioelectrical Impedance, but there are too many variables that could effect the result.

The cheapest and easiest way would be the Rope and Choke. Sometimes it is off anywhere from 1%-8%. But other times it can be rather accurate.

There is a place here in AZ that will dunk you for $45 - I am going to schedule a test soon.......that's a great deal for a dunk tank test...

Rope and Choke is where you take a cloth tape, measure your Neck right below your apple all the way around, then measure around your waist(right above the belly button). subtract your neck measurement from your waist measurement. That number should be around the BF%. But if you give me the number you end up with i can punch it in the system and give you an exact.

nicker57 I got 21.5, there is no way I am 21.5% body fat. I used a caliber and it gave me 16.5%.

Mmk well a 21.5 would come out to be 19%, But again like i said, this way of measurement does have room for error for some people. Its Just a cheap easy way to get an estimate.
