365 for 5 today (last set)
how much to get into powerlifting?
im 18, weight increases in this lift come easy to me.

5-600 is attainable by the average person over many years of hard word & dedication. These are very respectable lifts for the drug free lifter who has quite a few years of training under his belt.

ive done more, never maxed out. im not in football anymore. most used was 405 for 5. I was also 200lbs then, but ive leaned down some since then. getting back into working out. dont care to gain much weight. how much do i need for powerlifting?

They mean with legs bent, it's a normal deadlift. I don't know if many people, if any, could straight leg deadlift 5-6 hundred lbs. Usually people can dead a bit more than they squat.

500lbs for a 200lb young guy is good in my opinion. 555-600 and you'll do very well in comp. Just remember there are some freaks out there.

find out what your one rep max is and hit a meet!!!you'll be in teen division and it goes by formula, which basically means whoever lifts more over there bodyweight.they're fun and you gotta start somewhere so jump in.
