What would happen if I did this?

I have a computer that is plugged into a Apple Monitor 24 inch 1920x1200.

What would happen if I plugged my computer into this....

Panasonic - VIERA 42" Class / Plasma / 1080p / 600Hz / HDTV - TC-P42U2


Does my FPS drop by switching over to this big ass TV? Especially when playing a game?

I asking because I saw at the store yesterday a device that lets me plug a DVI into a HDMI.

Depends on ur vid card, the only thing that would change is the picture quality depending on what type of tv (good or bad) that,u plug into
