OK the suit dilema continues.....I'm now supposed to get my sample suits by tomorrow. I'm holding my breath (sarcasm implied). Never got any sample fabrics......

Saw a couple suits on Diva Exchange that may fit me (they are still available).

So - should I throw a fit @ my suitmaker to try & get my deposit back & then buy the suits off Diva Exchange??? Or just *hope* she comes thru??

I'm really not happy with this situation at 2 weeks out & also I have ZERO confdence in this woman....

I don't really know much about competition suits, but have you ever bought suits from Diva Exchange before or do you know someone who has? If you like the quality of their suits and they have a style you like, I think I would go ahead and order from them. You were supposed to get your sample fabrics last week and you didn't, then you were supposed to get the sample fabrics on Saturday and you didn't...who knows if you will actually get your sample suits tomorrow. With only two weeks out, you don't have a lot of time to screw around with this lady. What if there is some problem with the sample suits - I would be worried that she wouldn't come through again.

time is rushing and this lady has kept you waiting and waiting... and waiting...
if possible get your deposit back asap... you need no stress of this kind so near the competition.

No, I've never dealt with Diva Exchange. I emailed the 2 girls who are selling their suits & they are still available. Hopefully I can get more pics of the suits. Their height/weight is similar to what I'll be on show day.

But I figure something is better than nothing as I can't go on stage Nekkid!! And I've already booked my room, bought tickets, entry fees, etc...

I'm just suitless....

Don't even consider quitting! You have worked too hard for this and you look fantastic! The suit is just icing on an already great cake. Get the pictures from the 2 girls on Diva Exchange. If you like the suits, go ahead and order them. Nikkita is right, you don't need this kind of stress right now! Tell that lady she has wasted your time and caused you way too much aggrevation - she obviously can't be trusted to follow through with a committment. Not that this helps right now, but I would also let her know that you know a lot of people that are in competition and you will caution everyone you know against using her services! Word of mouth goes a long way in keeping someone in business!

Its stressful about the suit & everything but this is not an uncommon situation esp for a first timer. That is yet another reason why I say two things when you start setting your comp goals ---

1) Don't set yourself up to live & die by one show.
2) If possible set up at least one backup show date so you don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Even the most meticulously planned show prep can blow up for any of a thousand reasons. And if you toss all your work just out of frustration then you may find yourself so far down in the depression hole not only over the show you didnt' do but also all teh work that you shot to hell in one big fat weekend with Ben & Jerry.

Stay focused. Manage the things you can. Stay as fluid as possible so you can move w/ any sliding details about your show. And if it doesn't go for that contest, go to plan B. This means you have 4 more weeks to prep, and all sorts of good things.

Otherwise you may as well just go back to Ben & Jerry and start shopping in the Uber Sizes store for a nice pink moomoo.

Stay focused Jen! The goals can change very easily at any point in the game and you still "win".

Otherwise you will also suffer the Wrath of Bunns....

All right! I called Gail and she said she asked her hubby to put all the stuff in priority mail Saturday. So I *might* get the stuff tomorrow.....

I'm extra cranky I think cuz 1) my "." is due soon and 2) I haven't been sleeping....and I'm just frustrated in general....
