What kind of steak is best?

I'm currently on a bulking diet for the next 5 weeks. I'm adding steak as part of my daily protein intake, specifically eye of round steak, half inch thick. I coated it with a little olive oil and steak seasoning. Grilled for 5 minutes but it was tough as shit. I've heard filet mignon is the best in terms of leanness vs. protein but eye of round is also good. What steak is best the bang for your buck? Also, any cooking tips are greatly appreciated :Chef:

ribeye
steak seasoning
George Foreman grill
check it after 2 min, and every minute after until it is done enough for you. I eat it after the first 2 min myself

Ribeye's have great taste but a little too fatty for me.

Top Sirloin is probably the best bang for the buck. Often you can find stores that advertise a buy 1 get 1 free deal with sirloins. They are also fairly protein dense and light on fat content.

Deer and elk meat work best for me :P but those who dont like or have try tenderizing it. use one those meat mallets forget what its acutal name is first. or you can boil it for a bit then cook however u perfer bbq grill ect. some grilling spices arent the best ause the sodium in them sucks out the moisture which also makes it tough hope that helps abit

I eat alot of eye round and extra lean ground beef...I'd think ribeye has to be one of the worst types of red meat just cause its so fatty.

IMO: The fat on the ribeye gives it such a good flavor. It's the same way with prime rib. You don't eat the fat, and it's very easy to trim on your plate.

You did say you are bulking. You do need some saturated fats, which also up your total calories.

NY strip has the fat down one side which is easier to trim after cooking, and has a similar quality taste to ribeye.

Flank steak is as lean of a cut as you are going to get. Sirloin is as someone else said the best bang for your buck though.
