what is racism - a long read but should open some eyes

While reading this article... I found myself thinking "it's so true" for many of the points made. At the same time, I could sense the racial undertones and generalizations made on the author's part. It doesn't surprise me that it's from a clansmen... they are a fucking joke.

Bottom line though I'm sick of hearing all you overly-opinionated posters act like everything you say is the gospel. Get off your damn pedestal and try to understand things from a different perspective. I know growing up in a perfect household with nurturing and financially secure parents that forced you into college have made you what you are today (a know-it-all who doesn't understand what it's like to be impoverished.) Your education doesn't give you the right to assume shit. Yes I agree that YOU ARE YOUR OWN PERSON... bust your ass if you want to make it. You don't seem to understand though that there are many impoverished youths who evolve into very successful people through hard work.

This doesn't mean that an entire race that is mostly centralized around lower-income communities is going to one day have a eureka moment and all strive to become successful and educated scholars. Every one is their own person but environments like most black environments DO NOT YIELD A LARGE AMOUNT OF ACADEMICALLY AND FINANCIALLY SUCCESSFUL HUMAN BEINGS... and it is for a reason. That reason is not necessarily racism on the part of white people. At the same time it is not because black people on the whole are lazy or worthless (like some of you seem to think.)

Good point. However, last time i checked native americans went to war with each other as well as against white men. They also enslaved each other. Why aren't you apologizing to each other?

The fact is the world was & is a dangerous, evil place. Just because whites had better guns than other indians doesn't make us the devil and indians some innocent victim. Is that a fact? i don't know if you read history, but we whites had to live under feudalism for 1000 years. And guess what, it sucked. Feudalism is literally nothing more than slavery. Do you see me complaining because my great great great great etc. grandfather was whipped & forced to work 15 hours a day to make his feudal lord rich? no, because humanity is evil, not just the guy who did that to him. My ancestors were french canadian. They came from france. France was conquered by Rome in the 1st century. Look at it from this perspective.

Assume africans invented gunpowder, cannons, navigation & competent war tactics. Assume they conquered europe.

In the 21st century, africa would consist of a shitload of countries with a GDP of 2 trillion dollars a year, median incomes of 30k a year, high amounts of technology, and governments that spent at least 50% of tax money bettering the condition of the disenfranchized (even america, which is considered a stingy nation with its poor, donates at least 1/2 its tax money to helping out the poor via social security, medicaid or medicare). ANd these countries were relatively free.

I assume Europe would be shitty. GDPs of 100 million a year, median incomes of 500 a year, illness, poverty hunger and dictatorships.

even though i would naturally be mad about that, i would also consider a few things.

1. if i had been left in europe, i would be poor, diseased, starving & live under a dictatorship.

2. The african countries would donate billions a year to help out the european countries. If Zimbabwe donated 100 million to ending polio in Spain & germany, i would take that into consideration before i hated that government.

Maybe colonialism fucked up the conquered nations. Probably. Whose to say what they would be like if they hadn't been conquered.

The ending fact is that humanity is evil. My racial ancestors fucked your racial ancestors, your racial ancestors fucked each other, and my racial ancestors fucked each other. It doesn't matter that whites had better guns than indians or blacks, they were just as evil but didn't have the means to carry out their evil. We shoudl focus on ending evil, not ending certain types of racism or reparations for very narrow types of evil.
