I have noticed many people on boards talking about dextrose and i am just curious about what it is and what it does for you i use creatin/protein/glutamine/just started andro please post info/coments
Dextrose is a type of sugar. Reglualr sugar is half dextrose, half fructose. Post workout I take Dextrose b/c it refills muscle glycogen. Fructose on the other hand refills liver glycogen before goign to the muscles. I take 50g dextrose w/ 50g whey post workout.
Dextrose is corn sugar. And Risky is right about muscle glycogen. I take 35g of dextrose & creatine right after a workout, then I wait 30min and take 50g of whey protein. This 30min pause allows your insulin to spike and absorb the whey into your muscles.
thanks alot guys so i am assuming seeing how u both take it you are recommending the suppliment therefore where can i purchase this product, is it over the counter at a reg. nutrition store such as GNC or Vitamin World ?? thanks for the posts please continue to inform on any ohtre knowledge of this product as well as any others that you have found helpfull in the past
