What hormone causes water retention?

I read the following on a site about testosteron:

The decisive advantage of Testosterone tenantable, however, is that this substance has a very strong androgenic effect and is coupled with an intense anabolic component. This allows almost everyone, within a short time, to build up a lot of strength and mass. The rapid and strong weight gain is combined with distinct water retention since a retention of electrolytes and water occurs

Does testosteron causes this increase in retention of electrolytes and water, or does the estrogen causes this? If it is only the estrogen, can water retention be completely avoided when conversion from testosteron into estrogen is completely inhibited?

yeah that's true :p , Estrogen only "as well as Progestins" are the major hormones to cause water retention
Testosterone by it self do not cause water retention if it didn't convert to Estrogen and Estrogen are the major hormone that makes teenagers stop growing when they use Steroids "by increasing the epiphyseal bone closure"
