How is her diet? SPECIFICALLY.

What does she do in the gym? SPECIFICALY.

she does a couple hours of cardio 5 times a week, she eats clean with a balanced diet. I can't really figure out what it could be, because she's doing everything right. I think that its something to do with the thyroid problem.

Meaning, she does over 1 hour of cardio 5 separate times a week? (i.e., over 5 hours of cardio total per week)

What about weight training?

I want to see her "clean balanced diet" - need details.

Not to stick my nose in but I was passing by and wanted to add another thought as a 40-something person ... Eviction, it is an unfortunate fact of life that once a woman breaks the 40s a lot of us have a miserable time maintaining bodyfat ratios. Speaking for myself, it is frightening how quickly the muscle just slips away. No matter what level of cardio she's doing (seems like she's doing a lot ...), the lady in question is going to lose muscle mass if she doesn't start lifting weights, which makes it VERY difficult to keep off bodyfat. Her pre-existing medical problems certainly don't make anything easier, but she's fighting an uphill battle by not doing any resistance training.

Good notes by MM -- I noticed hormonal changes after I hit 37. The most apparent was w/ acne - had it all my life -- not cystic but pretty rough for many yrs. Now I barely have any. So things start to get different at 40+.

The diet is the first place I'd look -- can you post up a typical daily menu - what , how much, what time of day eaten?

Is she on thyroxine as she had hypothyroidism or as a fat loss measure? Work in a path lab, in endocrinology, this stuff is my area? This is a bit late, and it is a bit late, I lalso want to convert it to mmol/l so its more familiar, but increasing tsh levels indicate that thyroid gland is not putting out enough T3 and T4, or she is going hypothryoid!
