right now i am going for mass, after i have gained what i want, i am going to do a short strength cycle.
i dont train for strength for long periods of time, since overtraining is more of a risk when going very heavy every session. IMO

good post!

Ive been thinking about this for a while and let me tell you it is difficult to answer

Seriously, where I am I am the only bodybuilder, at first I started training to "just get toned" (like all the pretty boys), now I want strength and to be cut like a fitness model, but there is a problem

Since I started training seriously in March with diet, I have given it 100% and have really blown up (compared to what I was, a skinny 180 or less), people around me are saying I am getting too big (I am bulking) and you can deal with it for a while but it plays with your mind, Ive been thinking, hmm maybe I should start cutting, but really I want to add another 15lbs before I do that (220lbs ish)

People say, oh thats too huge, you are huge what are you on

I tell you, I am sick of people here saying that

it drives me up the wall

this weekend I was almost forced into thinking I was going to cut, but now fuck it, I am going to add the 15lbs or so I wanted to add.

Lol, so to answer your question, I dont want to be huge, 215lbs at 6% would be fine I think (for now).

On the list its to get huge. Ofcourse there are other reasons in order of importance as follows: to get pussy, to get more pussy, to look better than the other 95% of the population out there, for myself, to get back at all of the dicks that use to kick my ass for being a bean pole, to deal with stress, to deal with the stress of all the pussy, fat ass 95% population, dicks that still piss me off! Guess thats it. Anyone else?????

Strength.....just want to be the best 220lb powerlifter ever.....I might even get to do it if I live for another 1000 years.

I started out with martial arts as a teen, then around 18 or so I started lifting weights off and on. (Mostly off)

It didn't matter cuz the taijutsu kept me really lean and I maintained a very lean 175-180lbs. at 5'11". (these days I'm at 220lbs. fairly lean can still see my abs same height)

Then at 21 I started working alot more, my job kind of took precedence and as a result I started missing classes. So I weight trained more, and it came really easy to me. With the added benifit I could do it at my leisure. Plus I didn't need an instructor cuz it became blatantly apparent few actually knew what they were doing in the gym. Inevitably I forgot too, just became routine, addictive actually, but mostly vain.

These days I train mainly for endurance, and maintenance. Mostly because endurance is more important than size or strength IMHO. Also at the intermediate levels endurance has more overall relation to health and vitality versus just being big for the sake of being big.

ABSOLUTE STRENGTH...to total ELITE in the 275 class
