What do you think about McVeigh dying tomorrow?

While I certainly won't be shedding any tears for him, I find it inexcusable that the FBI was allowed to withhold evidence. What if this hadn't been such a clear case. Suppose there was some doubt as to whether this guy did it. I think this sets a dangerous precedent in our legal system. I'd bet that we execute a lot more innocent people than anyone realizes.

I think it's a shame that one human being is so vile that he has left his own people no choice but to put him to death.

What drives people to do these things? No one can deny that McVeigh has to be (or maybe I should start saying "had to have been") an intelligent man to pull this off, but damn, he is STUPID. No common sense. Didn't he know that bombings and all of this crap do not resolve anything? He would have helped his "cause" better by standing outside the White House and going "hey this sucks" than he did by blowing up a building and killing over 160 innocent people.

Humanity is disgusting.

Its sad about the children.
But one has to remember that one mans terroist is another mans Patriot.

I hope he gets an abcess from that needle!!!!!!!!!!

Good riddance, I don't normally support death penalty cause I think a lot of innocent people get convicted,
but in this case justice cries out for a "higher level" of punishment.

Have you seen the Oklahoma Memorial built on the site?
At one end is a wall with 9:01 and the other end is a wall with 9:03, the time just before and after the explosion.
In between there's a lawn with 186 empty stone chairs, one for each person killed. It's very well done, and quite moving.

I just think the majority of everyone in the world are a bunch of bloodthirsty barbarians, that's all. Don't see what it's going to prove to anyone by putting him to death for whatever reason. It's not like the families are getting to kill him themselves, and it's not even like it's some brutal inhumane death he's getting either. I dunno, methinks too many people of the world are brainwashed into thinking that the death penalty really is necessary, or it's the right thing to do as an end to the situation, or will ease their "pain", etc etc.

As you can see, I don't believe in the death penalty, I don't think a self proclaimed justice system in the eyes of god has the right to kill someone in god's name. I just think it all started off as professional legal excuse to kill people in the old days, and continue that kind of selfish brutality tht went on back then, (still going on today because we fail to see the actuality of the whole thing) but using the god thing as a reason to do so.

I think they should put him in a building that they need to demolished and put him on the 7th floor sit him in a chair with handcuffs and a earpeace where he can hear the countdown before the building is destroyed and remind him this is what innocent people felt because of him. And tell him Good bye you evil dirt bag!!!!!!

I feel the same way!!

"I am sorry these people had to lose their lives," McVeigh wrote his hometown newspaper. "But that's the nature of the beast. It's understood going in what the human toll will be."

He referred to the April 19, 1995, bombing as "a legit tactic" in his war against the government.

McVeigh, a Gulf War veteran, had called the children "collateral damage" in a book about the bombing written by the two Buffalo News reporters who received the recent letters."

This man does deserve to die! I just wish that something more than another death would come from it. This must be very hard for all the families, and after tommorow, I hope they have some sort of peace.

He is going to suffer no pain. It is just like if you were going to have surgery and they put you too sleep. Why do they do it this way? They should torture the criminals that are put to death by tying them up and letting the victims or victims families take a few swings at them, slice off there fingers, cut off their dicks, rape them with a broom handle, and then cover them in gasoline and burn them alive. Now that is what should be done other than them feeling no pain. If I was being put to death, I could care less because I would rather be dead than be locked up in a small room for the rest of your life. All the criminals that are put to death dont care because thats what they would want than be locked in a small room, being harrassed by guards 24 hours a day and eating shit food.

Burning,

His deat will ease the pain for many of the families of the survivors.

I only hope this is the final chapter in this and will serve as a healing for the families in some sort of way .Our government is shady for sure and the people demanded that justice be served because now this type of terrorist attack has happen in AMERICA and I am certain that some sick puppy is going to try to do something similar again .The militia groups denounced him but they are being closely watched as a result of this. Our contitution is suppose to have certain checks and balances to protect us from a government that could turn against the people but they have so much power that the average person can be picked up and set up like a bowling pin and they will be prosecuted. They can hide behind "national security" in a heart beat and how does your lawyer fight against that??? WATCH THEM CAREFULLY THEY CAN DO ALMOST WHAT THEY WANT TO WHOM THEY CHOOSE!!

I think it is horrible what he did, but no man should be able to kill another as punishment. He should spend his life in prison, which is no walk in the park.

I'm not the biggest proponent of the death penalty as I think it is not meted out fairly. However, some crimes are so heinous, e.g. Oklahoma City bombing, that punishment by death is a reasonable punishment.

I think it's funny how all of you get mad when Timothy McVeigh calls innocent children dead, "collateral damage," yet our government says the same thing when one of our missles "strays  " off course and bombs a bus or a chemical factory, such as in Kosovo, a very effective way of waging chemical warfare. Unfortunately, it kills more children then anything else, but of course, it's ok, only collateral damage of course...

PS- The reason he used those words is because our govt. does.

PPS- I do not agree with what he did, but I would be suprised if he even did it. And I'd be interested to see what or who goes in that 6 foot hole.

Good point Frackal.

As much as I am not in favour of the death penalty McVeigh deserves to be executed...

Maybe the FBI should get a medal for A) Catching the right guy for a change, B) Not making a complete mess of the investigation and prosecution...

hardgainer (very cynical when it comes to US government agencies)

But what about the FBI withholding evidence. I think it's a mistake to let them get away with that. What if this becomes common practice? How many innocent people will be executed?

He did not act alone ---- that we know---- Our government wants to say he did to give closure to the families that had loved ones the died----What would be so bad about keeping him alive for however long it takes for him to give up names---- This guy wanted to die but did not have the balls to do it himself---- I dont see anything wrong with a slow torcher method of getting him to talk. But to kill him would be just a waste and typical of a government that wants to sweep things under the rug!

Mcveigh's execution.

I feel that he handled it as man, and was very stoic.

However, I don't agree with his destruction of so many
lives. Hence he deserved it. I believe that if waco had never happened this would not have occurred in OK City.

The government had illegal ordenance and high explosives in the basement of the building, around 50 feet away from the child day care center. This storage of these munnicions were against local city law. The government had no right to store that stuff in that building period.

The blast of the vehicle set off a secondary blast of the
explosives in the basement and that is what the FBI
held back.

So I believe our justice system is just as guilty as he was. Janet reno should be tried as a murderer in Waco along with Bill Clinton.

Enough said.

Fuck him, he's dead now. I heard the lawyers arguements about how he was being denied constitutional rights. HAHAHAHAHAHA- what a fuckin coincidence, so where those kids and people. The right to life without being murdered for somebody's beef with someone else that doesn't involve you while you are in day care. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Fuck him. Bring him back and do it again. PPV so we make money on his ass, dead ass. Then donate it to the government in his name.
