What do you eat/drink after a w/o?

Need to hear from the ladies...

A) What do you eat or drink after working out?

B) What would you suggest to someone who is trying to bulk?

P.S. I work out late at night so even though I know a meal of real food is best - it's just not happening at 10:30 pm :)

I've found tons of stuff on what guys do from the diet board - but I wanna hear from the ladies ;)
 
If I'm bulking - Biotest Surge or another Whey Protein Hydroslate + carb drink (like from the Protein Factory). I add in Creatine - 20grams as well.

If I'm cutting . . - My Girlfriend, she has 0 carbs.
 
one scoop of heavyweight gainer 900 and add 1-2 sccops of extra protien.plus creatine and glutamine.then when i get home usually get some steamed chicken and rice from the chinese place.

heavyweight gainer 900 has to be one of the best weight gainers out there, you dont need a blender, i use the shaker bottle with just water and it doesnt get thick, its as thick/thin as milk. and tastes great.

depending on your bodyweight, your shake may vary...50-100gms of carbs and 40-60gms of protein in a post workout shake is perfect. plus creatine and glutamine.

Based on a 2200 cal diet for a 127 lb woman 14% bf (or so) trying to get to 135 (at a MINIMUM) what would you suggest for a serving size?

ok the heavyweight gainer 900 would be good for you(2 scoops with water is 650 cals), 1 scoop is 55gms of carbs i think maybe 50, and 17.5 gms of protein, so try one scoop and add anothe 25-40gms of whey....then one hour later eat some solid food, protein and carbs...but if your post w/o shake is the last meal of the day then id up the cals, add 1.5 scoops of the gainer and 2 scoops of whey.

or just use yoru own stuff or straight maltodextrin with whey.

Can you give me the QUCIK non-jargon filled explaination of why I need carbs after a workout? I AM looking to bulk, but I don't want to pack on the fat along with the muscle so I am trying to be VERY careful about my diet.....
