My gym does not have a reverse hyper either. It sucks not having one. I have used one a couple of times and they are great. I have just been doing regular hypers on a roman chair with either no weight or a band around the bottome of the chair and around the back of my neck. I doubt that this is as effective as the reverse hyper, but you have to work with what you have available.
there ar other exercises that target the lower back, hams, glutes but hard to copy the move......do you the best you can by rotating other things..pull throughs, stiff leggs deads, hypers, leg curls...etc
I'm really just starting out. I'm trying to follow the 9 week basic programs as sort of an ice breaker. I gotta tell you I had trouble walking after the second squat day. Ah, gotta love it.
I'm not sure what I would even do with bands. I'm too green.
I was thinking about going to one of westside's seminars. Thye are having one in January in PA only about a three hour drive away. But I have a fund situation brewing. The company I work for refuses to give out bonus's and raises this year. I was expecting it and spent the $$ before I had it. Oh Well.
Dont know if this is a bad idea or not......but in two weeks a friend and i will be heading to a metal shop, and scrap yard......and welding a reverse hyper or something pretty darn close. maybe a glute ham raise if i have $$$ left over.
ill be damned if im going to pay postage all the way to australia for something that big.....
maybe someone manifactures some down here (under liscence of course)
