Went to the Gym Drunk

I know its bad while working out and trying to get in shape but i will tell you i had some unbelievable pumps.Did anyone do this before an have same results.Went out with guy's from work and one drink turned into alot but i still went and had a great workout.:drink2:

It must have been from all of the calories and carbohydrates that you got so pumped. I wouldn't make a habit of working out like that because there are plenty of other ways to achieve that pump. - cbeaks
 
hey i have friends that do this all the time. of course they all lift like jackasses. and of course they go almost everywhere drunk. and im sure there all drunk now.

i drove to one of our hockey games with them once, and of course a 12pack later. there skating fine, and i was DYING. never again for me. i imagine it would be the same for me in the gym.

Never drunk, but i have to say ive been to the gym high before..

Have to say it made me get into my work out like a mofo...

Anybody else been there high?
 
I've lifted hungover before. Tell you what, lifting will cure a hangover, lol.

BTW, the Vikings used to go into battle drunk as hell. Just a little trivia for you. :D
 
I would drink more but I always lose at least 5 pounds after a night of heavy drinking. Nothing will piss you off more than being broke with a hangover and 5 pounds lighter than the night before.

I do have a couple friends who like to smoke weed before going to the gym. Personally I wait until I'm done, kind of like a reward for working out, although I have cut back quite a bit recently. Whenever I try to work out when I'm ripped I do maybe 3 sets and then I grab a detour bar and wander off to play pool.

You can play pool at your gym?
 
I have never smoked weed and probably never will but I have heard that some pros like to smoke before lifting to help them focus in the gym. I think it is just an excuse to get high. - cbeaks

Only pot-heads think weed increases your focus on anything, especially something cardio intensive....
 
YOu gotta be kidding me. I dont even go to the gym when I am hungover ... so if I go out drinking, it wont be until the day after my hungover day that I hit the gym. No point lifting when you are not %100 in my opinion. Even if I am too tired, sick, sore anything, dont go unless I am 100%, and trust me ... I need to be 100%, or my workouts will suffer from the previous one which pisses me off. I am not big into the cheeba, but been smokin a bit with my roomate after workouts as well lately. It feels nice after an intense workout and your postworkout meal is never ending. It is harmless in my opinion, much more so that drinking.

Actually a lot of pro's and soon to be pro's (ahem)....smoke out before a workout to keep focused and intense....not something I have made a habit out of, because weed still contibutes to catobolism and atrophy.....but I have had a really good workout high as fuck before...and it also helps with pain.....now rollin' balls and going to the gyn.....that's another story....have not taken a pill in 3 years, since I got serious about this whole thing, but man that was a fucking terrible workout.....:p
