Well I Tried HIIT

Hi everyone,

I printed out Shadow's cardio workout for Skittles with the intention of just reading over it while I was walking on the tread or elliptical. Next thing I know I warmed up for 10 minutes and went for the Gold. I made it through 1 complete cycle. I know that may sound like nothing, but I was always afraid to run on the tread for fear of falling off. I gotta tell you, it was fun and scary at the same time. I would've tried another cycle but it took more than 3 minutes to get my heart almost back to normal. I think if I'm gonna be doing this I'm definitly gonna have to quit smoking.

So, is tomorrow too soon to try it again, adding another cycle?

Normally, HIIT should be treated as a weight workout with a 24-48 hourse rest in between sessions..... But since you're new to it, you may want to try for 2 cycles....

As for the smoking..... I won't make any comments unless you really want to hear it...

Jens, I'm sure what you're thinking about smoking I've heard before. I've never really wanted to quit, but now it has crossed my mind. Maybe quitting will cross my mind some more. I'm gonna try 2 cycles tomorrow.

Did you ever watch someone die from it?? I did.....it's horrible to see.

Have fun with the HIIT....

If nothing else, you could try cutting back and using nicotine patches or gum.. nicotine does a lot of stuff that could be viewed as good (or at least helpful).

GREAT JOB!!!!

DO this:

drop your sprint down to 15 seconds

active walk - 60

try to do as many as you can...post up the number

Ok Shadow I will post up. I went to the gym yesterday but I took a Cardiolates class. 20 minutes cardio, 20 pilates. Today is spose to me my training day. I shouldn't do both right? Oh, can you tell me what the abbreviation for Total TILT means?

Thanks

Shadow,

I tried it again. I sprinted for the 30 seconds, and then did the active walk for 60 seconds. By the 6th round I was beat, not to mention out of water too, but figured it was only 2 more rounds so I went ahead and kept at it. Man, I felt awesome in a shitty kind of way afterwards. However it was GREAT seeing that in just about the same amount of time, I had got through double of what I normally do. I was shocked when I saw I had went over 1 mile, Ha.

On another note, when I got off the tread, a girl came up to me and asked me how did I get the machine to move like that for me. I was like huh? Then I explained to her, that I was controlling the speed. She was like ohhhhhhhh, that looks like a real good workout. So I explained your little routine to her for the HIIT, and she's going to try it tomorrow. Doesn't it feel good to have such an active role on people you don't even know? Lol.
