Weight Gainers or Homemade Weight Gainers?

I need to gain some serious weight. because i keep dropping weight although i am cycling.

would it be plausible to make a shake like such:
4 tablespoons of olive oil = roughly 300 calories
1 scoop of whey protein= roughly 140 calories
4 tablespoons of peanut butter = 240 calories
organic low fat milk = 130 calories

what else could i put in here?

i just need to gain some weight and nothing seems to be working no matter how much i stuff myself.

Put dry oats in the blender. Mix until its a powder. Add to your shake. Easy healthy carbs.

I just mix protien and oat powder for a higher cal shake. Easy.

also why low fat milk?? use full fat..this is how i do it and it rocks:
150gr oats
30gr blended protein
50gr pb
500 mL full fat milk
mix of frozen fruits (if i have i turn them into powder...hardcore blender)
and maybe +1 banana after the sake
think i reached 1000 cals or even more...PURE BULK

I don't understand this. That would make the shake thick and globby and very filling. You want extra calories that don't fill you up. That's the whole point of "gainers." Why not eat the oats separately?

Incidentally, there's no such thing as a food or supplement that makes you gain more than anything else. It's all just calories and a calorie is a calorie . And if you want to gain you need to take in more calories. Using GEAR to boost nitrogen content will help as well.

Its quick, easy and adds healthy cals to a shake. Its also allot cheaper than some sugar laden nast fat fill gainer shake. Its really not that bad.

mixing oats with skakes is the way to go I do it ever morning. .

I buy powdered oats so it shakes up easily

Yick.

BTW: I gained 30 pounds at age 40 before ever touching a steroid. Never did that. (Not saying it's bad if you like it though). But I'd rather have a shake and a peanut butter sandwich.

get some n2bulk man!
add pb, oats, etc if your trying to bulk.

1-2 grams of protein per lb of bodyweight.

Basically Eat like a horse, heavy compound movements, sleep well and time will show u the results!

Are Nelson and I the only people who think these homemade gainers are a bad idea? I stick to MRP's because they don't fill me up as much - with the weightgainers after I've had one I don't want to eat for 4 hours!!

Oats and protein does the job for me when I'm stuck or when there is too much of a gap inbetween meals
